And why does Triton look like the dour homeless guy who sits outside the Boston Public Library?

Well, the "swimming" looks pretty cool, I must say. I'm really anxious to see a video clip, though.

and Ariel and Eric (that's Giselle's flower dress)
I doubt they copied Giselle's dress (from a movie that isn't even out yet). It seems more like an enhanced version of Ariel's dress from the movie with the sleeves cut off.
I don't particularly like the looks for Eric and Grimsby. It's understandable that they wanted the characters to look more "royal" than they did in the movie, but now their just
Cinderella clones. And I definitely would like it better if they made the trident shaped more like the one from the movie (even if they keep it clear) instead of a giant fork. The crystallized look is nice though.
Looking at that still from the website, am I the only one who's getting an Oogie Boogie vibe from Ursula's costume? And why are her hands so huge?

THANKS lighthousemike! WOW! I had heard that people could see them loading in the sets, and longed to see some pictures of the set pieces. Is that a plexiglass seaweed?!

Thanks Little Merman for bigger pictures

.
I loved the water and how she "swim"

i think Ariel is the best thing in this show and wasn't disappointing like Eric,Grimsby,Triton and Ursula.

It's interesting to note that in the larger pictures, Eric doesn't have that nasty ponytail like in Disney's "official" shots.

Finally, FINALLY a good view of the costume and the tail part. This is what I've been waiting so long for.
... It's kinda funny. If you try to ignore her legs, it actually does work. I guess when when you're watching it on stage, that's where your focus will be (so, the challenge for it is to be good enough for your to not start analyzing the costumes).
Still, I wonder if they coulda at least made them blue, or make the skirt taper off into a different color or texture or something. I mean, you can't hide 'em completely, but there are probably other options.
Note how her shells are separate and facing up (as in, perpendicular to what we're used to). In a lot of the production art (and even some of the early animation, I think) for the original movie, she's not wearing a shell bra, but shells that are just kind of stuck onto her breasts and facing up.
... Sailors in their sun-boat... thing... I love those patterns, but they aren't even able to turn that wheel (maybe that would have been too comical anyhow).

Actually he has long hair all the way through, you just can't see it in the large picture as it's tied back.
It looked good when I saw it on stage.

Sorry about the double post but I forgot to mention (and notice no one else has) that, in addition to the ones already heard, there are more new songs on YouTube:
The World Above
Part of Your World Reprise (finally)
Kiss the Girls
Finale
Judging by the finale I'd say these are opening night as the finale was shortened by the 3rd night and from asking on youtube in the comments (for If Only) I've been told the shortened version was still being used at the end of the Denver run.

That finale is gorgeous, just the way I'd expect from Menken. I love the way how various themes are referenced while still keeping true to the Part of Your World theme.
It'll be sad if they'll keep using the shortened version instead, because I think the finale as presented in YouTube is great as it is, and I can't see how it could work as well in a more condensed form. Does anyone here know which parts were omitted, by the way?

Um, where are they? I tried looking on You Tube but all I find are the old demos.
