Absolutely! , I hope I didnt offend anyone! I especially like Clueless,
Bring it On, Four Weddings and a Funeral, What Women Want, and my wife cant stop watching Closer....... I think those are all chick flicks....
I think I'm one of the few straight guys in the world who is willing to admit that he enjoys "chick flicks" (sexist term, ugh), perhaps moreso than he enjoys action "I'm a manly man with big guns" movies.
Anyways, I feel so bad, I took pictures of my collection a couple weeks ago, but now they're already outdated and I want to take a new one with my additions, but I'm always too lazy too and the flash obscures titles half the time so I can't get a picture I'm happy with.

Its
is such a sexist term, but I hear it now from females so much more often than I used to. Especially as in: 'you dont want to come with us, its just a "chick flick"' ....I like big guns too though.... and how about a chick flick with guns? would that negate the chick flickyness?

You ask a lot of obvious questions (nothing against you or illegal) for a sophomore in AP classes. A chick flick, as it sounds, is just a movie basically for/ or that appeals more to females than males. Movies like "Bring it on", "Mean Girls", "Legally Blonde", and "Cinderella" could be considered chick flicks.

LOL. Some people can be really booksmart, but lack common sense, lol.

That would definitely negate the chick flickyness. I just wish people would come up with a better phrase than "chick flick". What do they call the guy movies, though? Dick flick?

Yeah, but on the other hand, they do have conspiracy, explosions, a fight, fire, and the FBI.

Well, Dr Who fans use the term "Frock" or "Gun", although it means a lot more than just the content of the story, it also involves the battle between "trad" (traditional) and "rad" (radical) elements. Therefore a "Frock-Rad" could possibly be considered a simple "Gun" by some people, and a "Gun-Trad" could, in some circumstances be classed as a "Frock". If that makes sense. Its all about the structure of the story as well as the content.
It may be interesting to apply this thinking to recent Disney films:
Herbie Fully Loaded: Gun-Trad
Ice Princess: Frock-Trad
The Pacifier: Frock-Trad
National Treasure: Gun-Trad
Around the World In 80 Days: Frock-Trad
Holes: Frock-Rad
Pirates of the Caribbean: Gun-Trad
Hum. Not many Guns, and not many Rads. Remember, the Trads, could, at a pinch be simply classed as Frocks.

I disagree about Titanic. It's classy and achieves a wonderful love story. People just assume that every love based movie is a chick-flick. I think something above the average romantics we usually see cannot simply be give the "chick-flick" name.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Charlie's angels and Charlie's angels full throttle. Those are the ultimate chick filcks.
