O/T. :P
Aha, well, Mabey Nemo got lost (again, You never know, with that fish) And they are trying to find(ing) Nemo. Ofcourse they make sure this ends up on film, so they can use it for the sequel. hahaha..

Sorry guys, I am in a strange mood, tonight. I think

Any one think there will be a Book Edition like Beauty and the Beast , Bambi,
and Snow White?

The bloopers thing is kind of neat. As Kyle said, this isn’t something normally seen in hand drawn animation. While the animation is a little flaky in some scenes (something makes me think Disney had an outside company handle this), it’s still better then just seeing the actors in the recording booths screwing around. I just hope they didn’t spend part of the budget on this that would’ve normally whent towards the creation of new documentaries or special features (like having the old DVD supplemental material ON DISC).

As for not including the original theatrical presentation of the film, it’s a shame but I don’t think it’s that bad (well, it’s not distracting). I think I can live with the couple seconds of re-animated crocodiles, removal of “SFX”, and the upgraded waterfall. It’s not like they changed the entire color pallet of the movie, am I right? Quick question, is the blue castle logo still MIA (as it was on Beauty and the Beast’s blu-ray)?

^with the 2D version likely being struck from the same source as the 3D master, I'll guess yes.

Is anyone else having issues trying to decide where you want to get this release? I've been telling myself for a really long time that I'd just get the box set with the sequels, but the ironpack from Best Buy is soooooo pretty. I also wouldn't mind getting the litho pack from pre-ordering from The Disney Store... Then there's the issue if I want to get 3D or not. I don't own a 3D tv or player, but I would hate to get one someday and have missed out on this film (this is also a battle I'm having with the upcoming BatB 3D release that I already own on Blu). Ugh, too many options!

Going to go with the metal pack/iron pack from Best Buy. I'll probably get the 3D edition, even though I don't have a 3D TV, or any current plans to "upgrade" to one. The main reason I'm going with the 3D is price. I'm sure that the DMR coupon (if we get one) will only be good for the 3D release, and with the coupon it will probably be the same price as the 2D release the first week. The 3D slip covers are also nice.

I'm getting mine from Best Buy. I'm preordering to get the ironpack thing, and I'm sure during release week they'll have similar deals to everyone else (except the Disney Store..). I'm just going to get the standard 2-disc edition -- it will be cheaper and hopefully I'll be able to apply the inevitable DMR coupon as well.

The boxset looks nice, but I really don't need the extra discs (DC, 3D, etc).. and I don't care for 1 1/2. That being said, I can wait the year or so to get the sequel in its own separate packaging.

Either way, Disney Store will be inevitably the most expensive.

You know, I'm probably gonna just go with getting the regular combo pack. But I suppose it depends.

I suppose if I go with the ironpack, that might decide for me which edition I get. I can't tell from the photo in the ironpack thread if it will hold all the discs from the 3D edition...

Okay... I looked at the pictures on each page, and... well...

The colors look really botched up. I only hope it's not that way on the Blu-ray itself, or else some of us won't be too pleased in the end.

Why's the DVD version coming in november and the blu-ray in october? :?

Because Disney wants to push consumers to go blu. Which, of course, is the correct way to purchase a film today.

To help promote and sell more Blu-rays. They did the same thing with Snow White, and Beauty and the Beast.

I think the better question is...

Why is the DVD version a single disc instead of a double disc, unlike the recent DVD versions of Snow White, Beauty and the Beast and Bambi??

Bambi had a 2-Disc DVD Edition?

Well, I'm still going to buy the DVD, since I don't have a blu-ray player (yes I know, the last one on earth ;) ). I just think it's unfair because I don't have the money to buy a player (they're really expensive here). :( I'm hoping the DVD will still be released in october here in Holland, because the BatB DVD version was also released on the same day as the blu-ray here.
