Well, picked up the steelbook a few days ago, as I can't stand the overly crowded blu-ray cover with the hag in the center, and it looks nice. Just have to be careful, they dent easily, as I found out with my Spawn steelbook. At least this one came with a slipcover, even if the spine doesn't match up with Pinocchio or Sleeping Beauty, it'll protect it from dents (although there is nothing to protect these holographic slipcovers from receiving finger prints, scratches and dents lol).
The 2003 copyright on the inside is the manufacturers' (Steelbook) copyright for the design of the steelbook. A quick google search says Steelbook was formed in 2002.

you are getting it mixed up. The DVD Combo pack is the one coming out along with the blu-ray copy. That copy has the blu-ray 2-Discs in it. The one you are reffering two is just the DVD release Nov. 24th.

I'm pretty sure I know what I was talking about Matt.
The coupon will work on the version with Snow White in the middle of the mirror, or with the witch in the mirror.

Looks like the steelbooks are coming to Canada, too, eh. Cause on the discussion forums of Future Shop's website, here's part of what one of their buyers said about Steelbook releases:
Disney...look for a big Disney program that involves some of the older classics and the new ones (UP, Wall E, Snow White and many more)
(you can read more
here) So as is said there looks like not only is Snow White getting a steelbook, but also a number of Disney titles. I've even heard a few titles that have seen recent releases in the past year or so will also be arriving with steelbooks (think Pinocchio and others). And as for design, it should pretty much be the same as the US Best Buy has since BB owns Future Shop, and usually Future Shop actually gets most of the same exclusives.

Yes, but both the Blu-ray and DVD combos come out the same day.. you said it would expire before the DVD Combo comes out.
I'm sure you just said the DVD Combo instead of saying the DVD release.

There is artwork, but its just the same images (the dwarves and the prince) from the regular release cover art...
Plus, its imprinted in the plastic of the case..
(Plus, I just rechecked and it CLEARLY says 2003, not 2008.)
Maybe it has something to do with the start of the company or something?
And there's also artwork of the dwarf's cottage in the forest not seen on any other release of this edition!

If you're talking about the storybook with his illustrations in it, I looked at it at a store yesterday. It looked very, very nice. Sorry that's not an in-depth answer, but it looked great.

Thank you for your post blackcauldron85 , I just wanted to know how it looked ,as I would need to order it specially as I don't think it is due to be released in the UK!
I'd love to see the others in the series Mary Blair's Cinderella etc!
I'm also looking forward to seeing the French reprint of Pierre Lambert's version of Snow White due to be published in October priced at 39 Euros on Amazon.fr entitled Blanche Neige! I guess that this must be a paperback version of his 2002 hardback?

OK, so I just found out that Disney is offering a $10.00 discount for anyone upgrading to Blu from DVD and VHS. Have they been accepting VHS for the past upgrade discounts? I thought when I went to get Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty on Blu that they only gave the discount for DVD, not VHS (which I had at the time).
I recently sold my entire 35 VHS Disney collection on eBay (they were fading and not getting me any of the discounts to upgrade) and only got about $25.00 for the whole set and now it looks like Disney would've given me $10.00 per movie. Am I understanding this right or just getting worked up over nothing, as that would've been a killer in savings as I, excuse my language, just pissed $350 in discounts down the toilet.

The program starts with Snow White on Blu Ray reedeemed with your UPC in the Disney Rewards code redemption box and it gives you a rebate for $10.00.
Don't worry you didn't miss out on anything, the program starts with Snow White and will extend with 10 dollar rebates on unannounced titles as of now.

I still find it astonishing that three or four weeks after the otherwise excellent Snow White website went live that Disney has not uploaded any further video clips beyond the trailer , whereas Amazon. com has about 7 short clips!!
Also , has anyone tried to add the images of the Seven Dwarfs as an email signature? I tried and they reproduce as such tiny images they are scarcely recognisable - can I change this am I doing something incorrectly?

So...this girl couldn't reach the "though he's far awaaaayyyy" high note?
She's not a low-voiced girl, I'm surprised she couldn't do that.

The tone was fairly respectful to the oringal, had alil reminder of Barber Stresiand's verison. Thank GOD there was no and I mean No dance section
wish it kinda had a plot to it ya know..... I might combine the Orignal, Cheatah Girls, Ashley Tisdale and Tiffany Thornton's verisons together for a possible Snow White Vid.

Does anybody, just out of curiosity, know which thread/page the picture with the disc art is?
