My question was to him, did his code work on digital copy plus website because mine isn't working.

Just tried for the Digital Copy and it says "Sorry, this is not a valid code". May be based on the release date like you said.

Is the DVD with "Sword in the Stone" a copy of the previous DVD in the Academy ratio, or is it a new widescreen print?

UPDATE 8/1: OK, I checked the Disney site. The DVD will be nothing more that a re-release of the 45th anniversary edition.

On the topic, it's stupid that they re-pressed the same recent disc instead of making a new on with the new transfer and new and old extras. I mean, you make money that way.

If they continue to drop features like the still galleries or the pop-up trivia from the previous Winnie the Pooh DVD I'd rather they include the old DVDs instead of making new ones. That way we'd at least have the previous extras on the DVDs.

Sorry, I was talking about the DVD that comes with the SiTS Blu-Ray. Is that a retread or a new press?

I don't know if anyone knows for sure yet. I don't have it yet and haven't seen any early reviews.

Note it lists "English: Dolby Digital 2.0". Don't if that's a Descriptive Video Service track or the Original Mono (I do hope for the latter).

Not biased at all. He basically downgraded the film on the grain issue alone. No mention that this is the best it has ever looked on home video, that it is a tremendous upgrade from the old DVD etc etc

Agreed. If he had simply complained about the image being overly processed, I would have cut him some slack, because that's true. However, there's no denying from the screencaps that this is miles better than the DVD in every department, and actually pretty detailed too. Look at those backgrounds, they don't look smeared to me.

What is pretty funny to me:

Oliver & Company review: "You might look at all of these screenshots and have no idea what I'm complaining about. Personally, it sorta makes my skin crawl. Oliver and Company isn't as much of a digital noise reduction disaster as The Aristocats, but it's still a sloppy, lazy "restoration" and one of Disney's more disappointing releases on Blu-ray." 2/5

Aristocats review: "The Aristocats arrives on Blu-ray in an excellent 1.67.1 widescreen AVC encoded 1080p high definition transfer from Disney. The colors are reproduced beautifully and look completely natural here while detail is probably about as good as the original animation is going to ever allow for on this format. There isn't any evidence of grain scrubbing but the source material used for the presentation here was obviously in excellent shape, as aside from pencil marks and other things like that associated with older hand drawn animation (which are part of the presentation and in this writers opinion should be left intact), the picture is clean. This really looks nice and film like, showing solid lines and nice, almost painted at times, movement throughout. There are no compression artifacts, there is no edge enhancement and there was no noticeable banding anywhere in the presentation. For its age, the movie looks excellent - no complaints here at all." 4.5/5

I mean, sure, it wasn't the same author, but what does it say about the credibility of their reviews?

I see that Sleeping Beauty has been confirmed as the fall 2014 Diamond Edition...

Can we please just forget about this stupid "Diamond" label that really means nothing and release Aladdin and 101 Dalmatians soon rather than making us wait till 2015 for titles that are clearly ready for release (as they already have been in other countries)?

Sleeping Beauty is my favourite Disney movie, but I already own it and would much rather give my money to Disney for titles I don't have yet.
