Watching a couple of the clips, I think I have figured out who the villain of this movie is...
I hope I'm wrong.

Hey, remember back when we were all first hearing about Zootopia and Nick as described in the first synopsis was going to be the protagonist. Well, it's funny how looking back that Judy Hopps was originally going to be a lieutenant and be the deuteragonist. It would be interesting to see the earlier drafts of the story to see what changed because from the looks of it when Nick was the protagonist things seemed to have a different tone and feel. I mean in one of the concept arts Clawhauser started out as a cat named Hugo until they decided to get rid of dogs and cats because they were too domesticated. Also the fact that Judy started out as a high ranking officer to the point she is considered Zootopia's cop, makes me think that the message of prejudice and stereotypes wasn't as emphasized in the earlier drafts.

Something similar happened with "Wreck-It Ralph." Originally, Felix was going to be the lead character, but the more they talked about it, they realized that Ralph had the more interesting character arc.

Yeah, I just noticed that because they did say that it finally dawned on him that the message of prejudice would be better suited for Judy. I like the change because of the fact that it gave the movie a non-Disney princess female lead. Most of the time female characters like Judy are given the designated deuteragonist roles, it's really kind of refreshing they reversed it.

Not to mention there is supposed to be no avian characters in Zootopia.

"Life isn't some cartoon musical where you sing a little song and your insipid dreams magically come true!"
That just might be the funniest line I have ever heard in an animated film in a long time. Especially when you consider that this is a cartoon.

Better watch what you say, Chief. The studio that makes those "insipid cartoon musicals" made your movie too. I just hope that doesn't come back to haunt you later in life.

They're always using these kind of quotes. I remember for a while when every new Disney animated film was advertised as "the best Disney animated movie since The Lion King!"

At least we can be thankful
Frozen came along so we never have to see that tag line again.
