Probably the Tiffany Thornton music video?

Let's not forget the Tour of Hyperion Studios. That's completely new to this edition.

No, it isn't exactly barebones. The back of the DVD-edition Diamond Collection states that the DVD included includes:

- full-length film
- all new digital restoration with enhanced picture and sound
- original theatrical soundtrack
- audio commentary by John Canemaker
- an exclusive sneak peek at The Princess and the Frog
- something else (the back cover isn't in high res on Amazon, so I can't make out what the other feature is)

Plus, it'll include the usual assortment of Sneak Peeks, a 5.1 DEHT mix and the usual assortment of dubs and subtitles. So it's just Disc One of the DVD edition included with the 2-disc Blu-ray, and it's not barebones by any means.
No, no. I meant in the BD combo pack; the one with the witch in the mirror that I'm probably going to get and have to deal with the witch being in the mirror and not Snow White.

you pretty much are only getting the film on the Blu Ray combo, and the bonuses will be on the second Blu Ray disc.

I don't really care anymore. As long as I have at least a copy of the movie on DVD- barebones or not-, I'll be happy. :P

Yep, that's it. Hopefully the DVD package of the Diamond Collection includes a scene selection insert...

personally I feel this way about this and all future released Disney Films that are classics...mainly the animated classics.....

I posted this in another thread but I thought I would post it here too...

I am to the point here's my belief of releases of DAC or any disney film

I don't care whether they are Labeled, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Special , corny and stupidly named edition, anniversary, collector's or any of the combos....as long as they are released with a good treatment and they all get decent if not more than spectacular bonus features and a good transfer and is loaded with goodies and gets the treatment it deserves...which Frankly I think all of them should be released in the best possible form for its platform being blu ray or DVD....whether it be Dumbo or The Emeperor's New Groove to Snow White......or The Lion King... to Treasure Planet...they all are classics even though each one is from a differ genre......I mean The Princess and The Frog thats coming out will be a classic......maybe not to all people but it will be viewed as a classic and as iconic as any of the other Disney Animated films have been....within 10 years or sooner

I agree. Although I would've been on the Blu train much sooner if Disney started the DVD/Blu-ray combo releases with The Little Mermaid (I would love to have that in high-def, although it won't come until the inevitable Diamond re-release in 2013).

"Someday my Prince will Come" was already done by Barbara Streisand for the original Platinum DVD, so I won't be upgrading my DVD. I don't want to see this beautiful ballad RUINED and turned into a rock song or something like "Once Upon a Dream" was.

I agree about Streisand's cover of the song--I don't think that song could ever get as much justice. I never liked the song, and I had never really listened to Streisand, but she did beautiful with that.

It doesn't say anything on Toys r US's website about any gift card..

Oh and I was able to snagged the steelbook for free! I went to ask a Best Buy employee to see how much it would cost to get it w/o pre-ordering and they said I can just have it. They told the person at the front of the store so I can walk out with it. I can't beat that!

In store only with Snow White, and why would you want the steel book if you're getting the DVD version? That's odd.

Everyone is essentially getting the steel book for free and 7.50 towards the movie price reduced.

That's really weird...
I got my steelbook yesterday too, but I'm not sure how they plan on taking the 7.50 off when I go in to get the actual Combo pack.. I have the receipt, but the cashier only scanned one of the three bar codes on the back... the receipt only says:

GWP Coupon - Pre-Sale Snow White - 7.50

And thats all..
Anyone have any insight on how they are planning on taking off the 7.50?
Will they know to take it off based on that?

Because I like how classy the case looks. I'm thinking I'll just use it for display since it looks a bit weird with my DVDs and I'm not sure whether I'll take the DVDs out of the original case anyway. It's not going to pay me to get the Blu-ray combo as I don't have a BD player and I'm not planning on getting one. If someday I do get one (for whatever reason) I'll have a very good transfer on the DVD plus it would be upscaled a bit so it would still be a very pleasing viewing experience.

I didn't pay a dime nor did I pre-order the movie. I think maybe he made a mistake..

Alright thanks..
And yeah I've got my 10 dollars off coupon already printed out. Thanks for the help.

By the way the steelbook looks really classy.
Anyone have any idea why on the inside, bottom left of the steelbook there is a date of 2003, then the logo of Steelbook?

Isn't there artwork inside the steelbook? Maybe that's when the artwork was made or something.

There is artwork, but its just the same images (the dwarves and the prince) from the regular release cover art...
Plus, its imprinted in the plastic of the case..

(Plus, I just rechecked and it CLEARLY says 2003, not 2008.)
Maybe it has something to do with the start of the company or something?

you guys know that the coupon is only for the DVD Combo Pack right? It states that on the coupon plus it only has the picture of the DVD Combo Pack.

It'll work for both since the coupon expires before the DVD combo comes out it's for the Blu Ray combo.
