No offense, but considering that the film is entitled Alice in Wonderland you'd think there would be a picture of Alice on those two covers....
But, it's all about Johnny Depp, so what can I do about it?

I agree. The Mad Hatter may be my favorite Alice character, but I don't like how much Disney's marketing department is pushing him. This is called ALICE in Wonderland for a reason. Hopefully Disney will be done whoring out Depp by the time the Blu-ray comes along so that we can have Alice-centric artwork for that.

For those of you buzzing about the upcoming companion CD, Almost Alice we’ve got some new details regarding the track, "The Poison" by The All-American Rejects. The new song is a cheeky take on Alice and her Mad Hatter. “Being a self-proclaimed Mad Hatter, this is a song about how prissy little Alice can be poison for us all. It was best for us both that she fell down that hole,” joked The All-American Rejects front man Tyson Ritter.

Trailers are now out for the video game:
PC/PS3/Wii
Nintendo DS
The Wii one will definitely be mine. I like the animated style of the DS one and hope Disney will release some merchandise with those caricatures on it. It's more aesthetically pleasing than the stuff at Hot Topic.

I'm skeptical about the game, but it might capture the wonder of "Underland".
And the Movie trailer's not new. The link was posted last month, and it can be found on the movie's website.
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

Yes, now there is way too much Depp and hardly any Alice. Remember, even Disney's own film sports a cover with the Hatter at the center...
But I have wanted to say this for a while...
Tim Burton has adapted Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, and now might even do Sleeping Beauty (Disney's version, with Maleficent as the focus)! All tales Disney has done, but has it started making you think of what Burton would do to a favorite classic tale of yours?
Of course I thought of Cinderella. Not Burton doing a take on Disney's version, but Burton doing his own version of the tale. I would expect a lot done with the stepfamily, the house they live in, maybe even Cinderella's sooty slave getup, and the Fairy Godmother and all her work, especially the pumpkin coach. My one friend said the evil pumpkin coach and cat coachman and the whole scene with them in Cinderella III reminded him of Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow work, or his work in general!

Hmm... I must say, the stills and the information that goes with them are intriguing indeeed....
The fact that "Wonderland" is really called Underland is an interesting concept, in my opinion, by why on earth couldn't Tim have called the film "Alice in Underland," at least to make it more distinctive from other versions?
As for the Cheshire Cat.... Chessur is not a particularly imaginative name. But the description of him has my interest piqued. I also love the design for that characrter, the electric-blue stripes are quite lovely!

A few more can be found here (along with a VERY brief interview with Depp):

And this one which doesn't seem to have a specific source:

My favorite out of all these is Alice following the Cheshire Cat through Tulgey Wood at night. The rays of moonlight streaming in are beautiful, and I love the trademark Burton trees. I dare say Underland/Wonderland is more breathtaking at night than in the day. There's a certain magical quality to it for lack of a better term.
According to Cinema Blend, Disney is paving the way for the release of the film via "Wonderland Wednesdays." Every Wednesday from now until the week of the release, Disney will share more images (and possibly more interviews and clips if the Depp one's anything to go by).

It looks like that Red Queen image is from the trailer, but it's all good!

I find Hathaway's eyebrows very distracting. Black among all the white. It looks off.

Actually, it's not. It's from the same scene, but in this shot she looks gravely serious (probably this is when Alice scoffs at hearing her say "Off with their heads" for the first time). In the trailer she's smirking while showing off the pig belly footstool.
I'm getting used to Anne's eyebrows. I did find them very odd when that character poster was released last year, but the more I see it, the better it looks. Her dark eyes and lipstick help keep them from sticking out too much, and she even has dark fingernails to match.

So... how in the heck are you supposed to pronounce the White Rabbit's name!? Really, tricky names to pronounce seem to be all over this film.... (Mallymkun and Iracebeth are pretty odd, but I still think that Tmctwisp is the worst. Is that a typo or something!?)
But yeah, it looks like the kept the Dormouse (well, Mallymkun, anyway), the same as you described, Disneykid!
The description of Mirana is actually quite fascinating, I think. It should make the character rather complex...

Oh, now I see it. They look almost identical, so it's hard to tell.

Yeah, she's got that Lucius Malfoy thing going for her: shockingly contrasting really blond hair and dark eyebrows. Though, as you mentioned, she has the extra makeup. But the white skin really powers it all up in the same way that the aforementioned hair did for Jason Isaacs, only this time ten-fold.
