well its not Disney fault its GermanyScamander wrote:They put Triton right under the rating logo? Way to go, Disney! -.-

Oh its still their fault. I mean, if I were disney I would try to design cover arts around these kind of things. They knew full well about Germany's requirements. And different territories get different cover art all the time.Magic.Mirror wrote:well its not Disney fault its GermanyScamander wrote:They put Triton right under the rating logo? I think Germans are pretty used to the ugly stickers by now. I also think the current edition will make them so happy, they won't care about a stupid cover.Kyle wrote:Oh its still their fault. Nah, still hate the logo. Sure we'e used to it but we keep complaining, trust me. Nearly everone but Disney uses stickers or print the cover without this logo on the backside again. Too expensive for Disney.Lnds500 wrote:I think Germans are pretty used to the ugly stickers by now. I also think the current edition will make them so happy, they won't care about a stupid cover.
Still.. give me the old greek dub of the movie and distribute it in thisJäger-Rose wrote:Nah, still hate the logo. Sure we'e used to it but we keep complaining, trust me. , I don't care King Triton should have been in that space instead of the tiny space in the bottom left corner.Disney's Divinity wrote:Yes, I like the cover, even with the minor issues (I'd prefer a blue-ish background). My biggest gripe is still that they should put something the background to the left of Ariel at least. All that empty green looks bad to me.
Oh dear god no.DancingCrab wrote:I think it's empty space there because that's where the vertical title is going to be on the U.S. edition.
Oh, yeah. That didn't acquire to me when I made my other comment. So King Triton will be covered up almost as much by the vertical logo in U.S. as he is by the fat rating block in Germany. Poor guy.DancingCrab wrote:I think it's empty space there because that's where the vertical title is going to be on the U.S. edition.
Actually aside from Sebastian's size they really aren't that off-model, and I think the composition is great. A shaft of light coming down the center of the image with Ariel in its center, no floating heads.PatrickvD wrote:She's off model (horribly so actually) and Sebastian is as big as het entire upper body. Now I've seen the movie and I'm pretty sure he fits in Ariel's hands. Does that crab look like he fits in her hands?
Flounder is also off model. The entire image's composition is awkward and 'off'. Sorry, I'm just calling it the way it is.
Can you link me to a picture of the French Platinum cover?atlanticaunderthesea wrote:As I said in the other thread, it looks like a cross between Ariel's Beginning and the French Platinum cover.
Yea I know, wth.Disney's Divinity wrote:It still infuriates me that Ursula's earrings and makeup are continuously colored gold and green, respectively. I have no idea who fished that color scheme around Disney marketing, but they seriously suck. She'll be looking like that for the next 25 years on these things.
From the looks of it, they're talking about this cover:Disney Duster wrote:Can you link me to a picture of the French Platinum cover?atlanticaunderthesea wrote:As I said in the other thread, it looks like a cross between Ariel's Beginning and the French Platinum cover.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the one. I do like Ariel's pose in this, but I'm not loving the floating Ursula/Triton/Eric. I do like how it's not too crowded, like the US Platinum cover was.Disney_freak wrote:From the looks of it, they're talking about this cover:Disney Duster wrote: Can you link me to a picture of the French Platinum cover?
I could be wrong though, because they have two different versions listed on amazon FR from 06'. The other one is identical to the US version though.
For one of the few times in life, we actually agree.Disney Duster wrote:Actually aside from Sebastian's size they really aren't that off-model, and I think the composition is great.
