I can't wait to see the episode!

She does indeed look lovely, but ever so young! Though I suppose, she is the youngest of the Princesses, isn't she?
Precisely!

Just wondering ….. do you think there is a list anywhere of the Princesses ages ? An official / officially unofficial list somewhere perhaps?

I guess some have area for different interpretation. I always put Belle as 19.
EDIT: makes me feel super old.
Isn't Elsa 21? So I guess Anna is 18/19

Lucinda returns! April 25 "Mom's the Word. Sofia is disheartened when she has to share her mother with Amber and James during the annual Mother's Day picnic, so she asks good witch Lucinda to cast a spell so that she and her Mom can spend time alone.
I have a feeling as good as Lucinda's intentions are, this is not going to end well! I can't wait to see this episode! I really liked Lucinda as a character. What do the rest of you think?

Awesome, she's one of my favorite characters from the show.

I really liked the short
appearance by SW but I do think it's weird that lately the princesses have been surrounded by a golden glow... It's like they are ghosts. Sad (because that would mean they are dead) but SW is a lot younger than the others and I like that because she was really young at the time of the movie, too.

Did anyone think the dress that Sofia was shown in at the end of the episode in the mirror looked like Belle's dress.

I've never thought of them as being alive or dead; just as projections or even something like a spirit guide?
But Snows little cameo was so darn short!

After Aurora's cameo that had to be the shortest and probably my least favorite.

Okay, enough is enough. How many of you know these are just cartoons. After over 20 years on television, nobody in the Simpson's family has gotten any older and no one seems to be bothered by that.
Who really cares how old the Princesses are? They are animated entertainment, and should be enjoyed as just that. What do think? They are going to age Cinderella and make her an old lady with grandkids and great grandkids? I doubt it very seriously.
Let's just enjoy Sofia the First for what she is and understand the message of each episode. And remember that each of the 'guest princesses' are because of Sofia's Amulet, that's why there is a glow around them.
Some of you are just to dang old to be so critical of a show that is aimed at 3-7 year-olds, watched with them if you must, but don't be so critical. These kids don't know one voice from another, and one actor from another. Let them enjoy the excitement of each episode and be surprised at who the 'guest' might be each week.
Now for what I really wanted to say. Just picked up "Sofia the First: The Floating Palace" DVD at Walmart for only $12.96. The cover is wonderful portraying Sofia as a Mermaid. There are three bonus episodes: "Tri-Kingdom Picnic", "Finding Clover", and "Make Way For Miss Nettle". A good selection of extras, and just in time to get settled in for Season Two of Sofia the First.

She's 15 and then she turns 16 at the end of Aladdin.
Sultan " It's three more days, till your sixteen birthday " or something
Jasmine " I know, but I don't want to marry a rich stranger, I want to marry a poor one that pretends to be rich and lies to me to try and get in my pants"
2 lazy to look up what's actually is said.

That would add a cool and creepy theory to everything !

Dead princesses is a bit much I feel....
Seriously, it's just a magic amulet. We shouldn't think too much into it.
I see no point in explaining magic in films/tv shows unless it's done for me (No creativity on my behalf).
dvdjunkie I can understand that this discussion may be a bit much for a children's show but I don't think anyone is criticizing the show.
I don't think any of us here expect them to age the princesses but it is interesting to know how old they were meant to be in their respective films.
As for the voice actresses, these are Princesses that we love and grew up with and I'd say the voice is a big part of the character.
You are correct though, children don't care and rightly so. They just enjoy the show for what it is. I don't give my young cousins a crash course on 'Disney voices: now and then' because they wouldn't care.
We discuss the voice actors on a forum. That shouldn't interfere with any child's enjoyment of the show. I'd assume no child reads the thread so I don't see who is being hurt.
I have no intention of offending you so please don't take it that way. I'm glad your granddaughter enjoys it so much and loves the DVD! She also obviously has a fantastic granddad that loves sharing time with her and that is something irreplaceable.

I really liked the Flying Crown! James as the mask scott was perfect! I love how Amber was team Sofia all the way! My favorite scene is where Amber shows concern for Sofia and shows her sisterly compassion. I can't wait for Mom's the Word!

I believe Mulan is going to be next in The Great Princess Rescue, followed by Rapunzel in The Curse of Princess Ivy.
