I found something quite interesting on the El Capitain website
http://elcapitantickets.disney.com/WebT ... 2010-11-27

It says the film is 95 minutes and also that it is rated G. :o I've never known them to be wrong, so I hope it is rated G! :thumb:

Also I found some Disney Tangled birthday merchandise

I hope it is "G" rated as well. A good sign that maybe it's not full of Dreamworks after all!

Why are you surprised it's rated G? I would have been more surprised if it were rated PG.

^Same here. The idea that it would be rated anything other than G never crossed my mind.

I'm not that surprised but I did think that it could be PG. Home on the Range was PG and also Enchanted, so if they were making the movie more in Shrek style it could easily be PG. Also a person who saw a preview of the movie said Flynn in a scene had blood on him, altough there was blood in Mulan. It's sometimes hard to tell what the raters will give a Disney movie. Sometimes I think they are to strict and other times I think they should give a higher rating.

And more importantly I just wanted to do the shocked emoticons! :o

Honestly, the whole G or PG thing depends on the movie's contents. I mean, for example, The Black Cauldron almost got rated R for a bunch of violent and scary scenes but had to be edited down for a PG rating. And Home on the Range (unless I'm mistaken) and Enchanted featured innuendo and crude humor. Well HotR featured the latter, and Bolt had scenes of peril.

New Interview with Mandy Moore about her character, the title change, and working with Alan Menken.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/164672 ... andy.jhtml

I like the part where she says one of the reasons she's not a typical Disney princess because she doesn't know she's a princess.

Uh...Aurora much?

^ Well, c'mon, how many other princesses besides Aurora (and now Rapunzel) don't know they're princesses?

Cute interview, though no new information. Still. Ugh, Disney, seriously, why aren't you marketing this film?

But, yeah, Mandy Moore seems very sweet. Since all they really ask her about in most interviews is the music, I really can't wait to hear the songs.

Tangled

MTV: Is the Disney take on Rapunzel the same as the original fairy tale?

Moore: Pretty much. She has an overprotective mother who tells her she's not missing out on anything, and it's a big bad world out there and it's too scary and dangerous and she'll be eaten alive, literally, if she decides to venture out into the world.

MTV: What was your reaction to Disney changing the film's original title, in an effort to lure in more young boys?

Moore: I think I was initially a bit taken aback, only because people know the story of Rapunzel, so when you say you're working on "Rapunzel," it's sort of a no-brainer, you don't have to explain it to people. But as the title sort of sunk in, I understood the decision behind changing it. The movie is so great and so cute, and people are going to see the trailer and know what the story is about. I guess you sort of have to leave it up to the brains at the top. They know what they're doing
Brains? What brains?! They do not know what they are doing! They are re-naming what Mandy Moore confessed was the traditional Rapunzel story...to be called Tangled!

It's not a bad point. I mean, it says a lot when the star of the film also needs to get used to a title change, much like the rest of us.
