I LOVE the brightness of the stills- it almost looks like they're illuminated from behind or something- I don't mean bright as in neon colors or anything. But I do love the colors used. Gah, I'm so excited!

PatrickvD wrote:The Disney animation website had some new images on its home page. I love how the animation looks slightly darker. It gives the colors more depth.
The official website also has a new video called "Villain". It shows lots of footage of Dr Facilier. The animation on that character looks stunning. And I love the shadows that take on all sorts of shapes and sizes. Amazing stuff.
Ufortunately my internet connection is quite slow so the clip doesn't really run smooth. Nevertheless: great to see it!

That villain feature was great! I LOVE the animation on Facilier. So smooth yet very evil and crafty. LOVE IT!

The visuals are already feeling very iconic to me. In a good way.
I really cannot wait to go see this . . .

Looks so good! I wish Disney went back to this type of animation rather than CGI.

The villian reminds me of Dr. Screweyes from We're Back with a mixture of Hades and Jafar.

Oooh guys guys I just had a funny idea...
Do you guys remember when Disney used to release Disney Sing Along Songs videos based on movies that were in theaters or were coming to video?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX6iDjz8 ... re=related
If they want to truly inspire nostalgia in fans should should release a Disney Sing Along Songs DVD based on The Princess and the Frog!
Oh I would kill to see either Mr. Owl or Jiminy Cricket introduce Princess and the Frog songs!
Of course this will never happen since the special edition of Princess Enchanted Tales serves the purpose of promoting the movie. But it would be so cool if it happened...

For some reason my Wal-Mart has 8 of those sing-along videos on DVD and just got them in a week ago.

If I am not mistaken, the last Disney film to receive a Sing Along Songs DVD was Home on the Range. They did, however, release Disney Princess Sing Along Songs DVDs, but no feature film based DVDs have been made as of late.

I miss the Sing Along days. Those VHS's were the only way I could get by until the movies themselves were released on home video.
The Fun With Music volume was a favorite since it had the Oliver & Co. clips, which was their last animated classic that didn't receive a relatively immediate home video release.

exactly what i did! i'd usually get these weird reaction from shopkeeper.."this is just a sing along you know.."
as if i don't know..i'd play the song clip again and again.marvelling at the gorgeous animation of lion king, poca, hunchback and hercules.

I absolutely ADORED the Sing-Along Songs videos. I loved seeing all the clips, but I think my most-favorites were, well, sure, the clips of movies I didn't yet have, but more so, clips like "A Cowboy Needs a Horse", and the Disneyland Fun volume- things I wasn't able to see elsewhere. Years ago, my mom got the idea that I didn't want them anymore and gave them away. Just like how she gave away my Mary Poppins record.

And most of my stuffed animals.

Sad times.

I agree. The colors in previous stills were kind of washed out. These are richer and much classier.

I'm SORRY, but that last sentence is almost unreadable. I think I know what you're trying to say, but I'm not sure. Also, the new princess is name Tiana, not Tania.

i'm pretty sure what amazon980 is saying that it looks as if Disney is going to release a special edition doll to coincide with the blu/dvd release of each princess movie from this point forward. There will only be 5,000 made of each doll and will comprize of all the princesses. Then I think they made a list of the order in which these dolls and movies will be released.
It seems like a good idea on Disney's part to do this, although I would also assume that Mulan and Pocahontas would be included.
