I like that Pixar does these little references to their other films. I have felt for the longest time that the Pixar films actually take place in the same universe. The only exceptions are Cars (for obvious reasons) and The Incredibles (which takes place in a comic book). Hence, why we see a Buzz Lightyear toy in Finding Nemo, the Bug's Life tree in Toy Story 2, Rex dolls in Wall-E, etc.

When I was at Sam's Club today, I saw they had the Buzz Lightyear with CoA (Cerfificate of Authenticity) for 39.98 (something like that). I decided to go ahead and buy it. I think it's pretty cool and I don't think I will ever take it out of the box.

I remember having one of the Bucket of Soldiers from the 90s, but I lost all the soliders a LONG time ago.

I still have my Hamm hand puppet and my woody voice toy from Burger King (not sure where Woody is, but I know he's around somewhere) from Toy Story 1.
The Toy Story 3 plot looks interesting.....something similar to Brave Little Toaster maybe?

That Toy Story 3 trailer is very powerful. I cannot wait.
Now, can somebody who has the Toy Story Collection Rex help me out a bit? I got Rex today and I think I have a bad one. His voice is very weak, you can barely hear it. It's so faded I didn't even hear it at first -- it was only when I was in a room with total silence I could barely make it out. I assumed the batteries were dead and replaced them, but the same thing happened. Not only that, when his head turns, I hear a steady click-click-click-click-click as it turns (but that may be normal).
If anybody else has Rex, let me know if the same thing happened or if yours had a fully loud Rex voice (and if the head clicks when it rotates). I'd hate to return it, I could only find one at a Disney Store, and it's really a pain to get to (it's 40 minutes away). I'd have to plan an entire day around it to go that far. Thanks in advance!

Ooo that's such a pain, but I know how you feel (Disney Store is like a 40 minute drive for me too).
But yeah, my Rex is very audible and the head doesn't click when it moves, sounds like you got a bad one, sorry =/ Did you try the Try Me feature at the store? You should've been able to tell whether or not it was good by using it (I can't imagine that it would work for the Try Me feature and then not normally lol).
And to the post above mine: yes! I did notice the BnL batteries... but only after someone mentioned them a few posts back lol.

8 year old Andy looks completely different in Toy Story 3 than he does in 1 & 2.
That being said, I really like the first minute of the trailer !

Just in today from Lee Unkrich's twitter, we finally have the name of Jim Varney's replacement.
Blake Clark is Slinkydog.
Now that I think about it, even as Chet in Boy Meets World, he sounded quite a bit like Varney.

You know what I was thinking? Maybe Bo Beep doesn't go with Woody and the gang. I mean, she's technically NOT a toy, so I don't see any reason for her to go the daycare center with them. I just hope she's not broken or anything!

And I wonder what happens to the other toys, like RC, Rocky, Lenny, Weezy, the soldiers, Etch-A-Sketch, Mr. Mike, etc. None of them were in the trailer (that I could see anyway).
And I wonder why Mrs. Potato Head only has one eye lol.

Very interesting article on the history of
Toy Story 3. It's quite long, and I haven't finished reading it yet, but so far, so good.

*edit* (For those of you who were worried about Bo Peep, it mentions that Annie Potts has returned to voice her, so that's good news)
*edit* Minor spoilers start near the bottom of page 7 of the article.

Isn't Bo Beep Molly's? That was my head's explanation. And it's been years since the other Toy Stories, Mrs. Potato Head has removable parts, I hope I'm wrong or at least she finds it.
