IICK!! Ugh! It looks like a bad screenshot on the bottom, and a rehashed version of the 1 disc cover with David taking Lilo and Nani's place...but the disc art is very nice though...I guess everyone has different tastes....

I don't think that's so bad. Nani would be better than David there..

Yes she does! :thumb:
And I'm hoping it's not a final cover!

They should get fan advice since they don't know how to make them themselves. I don't think the Lilo and Stich one is too bad. None of them are horrible. I just think they're missing opportunities to do amazing cover art. One day I'm going to try my hand at making a cover.

Make sure you show us the end result. (:

I somewhat agree that none of their covers are really all that horrible (though the Sleeping Beauty cover is questionable if only due to the fact that her dress was the wrong color--whatta blunder) but are, hm, how to put this--a bit on the unimaginative side.

The concept for this Pocahontas cover was decent, I guess; the "colors of the wind" blowing around her and whatnot. It was just executed poorly with an overly bright/funky looking Pocahontas and the lack of John Smith (replaced by Nakoma) among some other things.

I just hope thats not going to be the cover for the UK L&S! :o

Have you noticed the bad PhotoShop job on that "Lilo & Stitch" cover? They replaced Lilo and Nani by David on the surf board, but they still left Lilo's hand on Stitch's shoulder.

By the way, do you guys think they are finally going to include the DTS track on the region 1 special edition? If not, I'm thinking of getting the Australian edition, which has the DTS track and probably all the extras that are going to be on the American edition.

rofl I just noticed that tiny hand there. Well, it sort of looks like David's hand? Maybe that was what they were going for.

Going back on topic, bigger cover art for "Pocahontas" can be seen here: http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=56026

Gosh didn't notice it too!! !!
We have the same cover in France for L&S, BUT it is hidden in a slipcase:

I'm not sure about the French slipcase for Lilo And Stitch. Red is not the colour I would have chosen for this movie, as it's not a dominant colour. I personally really like the other cover, I think it looks great.

In terms of the newer covers for Disney films (especially the 2-disc sets), the only thing that I usually have a problem with is that sometimes the characters look a little off-model (Mulan is another example of this). Other than this small gripe, they usually look great.

I don't worry if one or two characters are left off, even though they are crucial to the story (I don't worry that The Queen of Hearts was left off of Alice In Wonderland or Shang off of Mulan despite the fact that they are main characters). The covers could be better, no doubt, but I'd rather Disney focus on the other aspects of the DVD rather than just the cover.

Luke has some excellent points about how Lilo and Stitch: Special Edition
might look. I think it might look like this since the other regions were
right about Alice in Wonderland and Pocahontas.

Look at Pocahontas and Lilo and Stitch title banner they both look the same.

the cover may be the least important aspect of a dvd. but here it is a bad
sign. I'm afraid it means it's a bad edition and they don't care for it. bad
menus, bad presentation, bad content.

No. The disc is already out in other regions (including France!) and it's got
sensational content and excellent presentation!

Let's hope that's not official for L&S, because why would DAVID be on the main
cover...when there's Nani, Jamba, and Pleakley. Now, that would be a cover to
argue with!

In that case it'll probably be the official U.S. 2-disc cover. ;)

I didn't even see the lack of a "not" in "not official."

I was joking that since you--and I'm presuming the lot of us-- wouldn't be
happy with this cover for the U.S. release, they'll probably use it. Cause
they like to be random and unpredictable in all the wrong ways.

We have that same cover here in Finland that R1 is now getting and I think
it's just plain ugly! That dark tone over the picture makes it look better
but that's not enough...
UK cover is so much better than this one and fortunately the UK one is the one
I'm going to get. Surely the french cover is the prettiest. Wow!!

Yep! They should. I makes me want to try making a cover to see if I could do better.

God forbid somebody bring up something about the film this thread is actually about again! We've kinda gone off track. But to answer this nice person's question. As far as I know, it will just be a Dolby Digital 5.1 Mix. Maybe somebody knows for certain whether or not a DTS track will accompany this, however I highly doubt it. More than likely we'll get 2 audio options: 1) Standard 5.1 Mix and 2) Disney Enhanced Home Theatre Mix (which is my prefered way of listening to these DVDs, as the separation is usually excellent in this mix)

I will take it from here (sorta).

What, no DTS for the Pocahontas 2-disc? How disappointing. :/
