I kinda like that cover, the only thing I don´t agree, is the fact the prince isn´t that important to be in such an important place on the cover, we don´t get Cindy´s face but get to see his...

I was looking back into the previous pages of this thread...and I actually like THIS cover the most.

I don't see a need for the PRINCE to be on the front! I mean, for goodness sakes...we're focusing on CINDERELLA! :D
(it looks so similar to the SNOW WHITE PE...but i LIKE it! ;))

I like the cover that Luke posted. I especially like how the slipper is inside the title! i think that was a great idea on disney's behalf. I like having the prince on the cover, but i don't like how Cinderella's back is to us. The only thing is, it's the only way i can imagine them dancing and it still look good. I guess i'm happy with the cover so far!

I don't like the 5th cover (Cinderella holding the glass slipper) because it's just... really odd seeing Cindy handle the shoe like that.

But in the end it's my 3rd favorite cover.

Cinderella cover art

I didn't know that Cinderella came out on video in 1988. I thought it was released in 1995 or 1996 for the first time on vhs. What does the artwork look like. Oh yeah and the The Little Mermaid cover art that came out in 1998 looks better than the original which came out in 1990. It looks like it was drawn by amateurs.

Wow I am totaly feeling this cover it looks really nice. I mean even if it changes a bit over the rest of the year I hope the color scheme some what stays the same the whole dark blue thing make the movie look all elegant exactley the way it should be. :D

I am impressed with this picture also, but I hope they add the slipper behind the title, like on the Upcoming Cover Art site...

This may sound rather obsessive of me, but take a look at this. In the new princess music video that's out (which is pretty trashy, but that's beside the point), the clips from Cinderella look much brighter than I've ever seen them elsewhere. It's possible that some artificial brightness was added for the video, but could it be that these are portions of the new restored print? See for yourself:

http://disney.go.com/princess/html/main_iframe.html (click the all new song link on the main page)

Because I've seen Cinderella an alarming amount of times, it's possible that most of you just won't notice, especially based on quick shots from a streaming video. If I can, I'll make screencaps of both this and the Brazilian DVD trailer to compare, and so you guys can see the difference better.

I just purshaced"Disney Princess Stories:VOL2", and watched the full new music video(the one on the princess site is cut). The song has tons of Cinderella clips. She appears on the music video more than any other princess. I think Disney is trying to advertise Cinderella as much as possible. Also as DisneyKid stated the Cindrella clips on the new music video look brighter then usual.

There are tons more clips of the improved look in the trailer. It looks 10x brighter and you can really see the beauty of the backgrounds whereas my VHS version all the backgrounds are so dark.

Hmmm...you're right, I have seen Cinderella quite a few times and I never remember it so..bright

Well, considering there was a remastered version on the Platinum DVD, I think that is what they are showing...

Here are the screenshots I took. The Brazilian DVD trailer is on the left while the princess video is on the right.

I'm positive that the princess clips are taken from the new restoration because I've never in my life seen the film look that way. I'm used to seeing it the way it looks on the left. Too bad the low quality of the video hinders us from seeing the new sharpness and detail levels, too.

Nice screncaps, Disneykid!

I've never been much of a fan of this coverart (the one with Cinderella holding the shoe and the theatrical posters were the one to go, IMO), but what's with that glass slipper on the logo?!

Image

I like the composition of the cover, but both Cinderella and the Prince need some serious re-working. And get rid of that slipper!

hey hey, the slipper played a bigger role than the prince! get the prince out of there! :P
 Just kidding! *runs*

*comes back*
- By the way, thanks for the screen caps :thumb:

*runs away*

The image of the Prince and Cinderella is the same one that was used on a Canadian VHS release of Cinderella. I saw it in Blockbuster the other day and immediately recognized the image as being the same. So this has been a problem for a while now. Don't immediately blame modern Disney artists for this one ;)
