PixarFan wrote:I'm kind of doubting it now. TI will have a 27-minute "making of" feature like Finding Nemo did. Also, it sounds like that 80 minutes of features are all on the first disc, meaning that the movie is probably done nemo style. I just desperately hope that if that's the case, that disc two will not be just "extra stuff" like it was for Nemo. There was way too little on the second disc, and there was a lot more I would have liked to learn about that movie... Hopefully this set will have more on the making of the movie than nemo did.
Well, if this ends up being like Nemo, then disc two will undoubtedly be a fluff disc. Disney seems rather fond of the whole "one disc for movie fans, one disc for families" format which annoys the crap out of me because then I feel like I purchased a decent 1-disc edition that came with a useless second disc. The only releases that seem to follow the better "one disc for film, one for all bonus material" route seem to be either re-releases (Alice in Wonderland, Mulan) or the Platinums. New releases in the 2-disc format seem to usually be the Nemo/Brother Bear style, which is disappointing.

In retrospect, especially given the inclusion of Boundin' (like people expected) it is possible Jack Jack Attack may be a game, and DVD Review reported wrong.

However, I expect there to be much more to come from the BBFC, so perhaps we will find out soon.

i actually liked Boundin, i thought it was fun and it was obviously expected to be on the DVD, but i am wondering what Jack Jack Attack will be.

all i am hopeing for is that it is a 2-disc special edition, and that they use both disk to there full potential and not have a fluff disk.

Here's a first look at the US DVD cover art:

So this will be a a more traditional style of 2-disc afterall with the film on disc one and the features on disc two. I'm *extremely* happy over this, because that means more extensive features.

As for the confusion over the Jack Jack Attack feature, I think it can still be an animated short despite Boundin' being on the DVD. Why? Because remember that Monsters, Inc. had the short that accompanied it (For the Birds) as well as a brand new short (Mike's New Car).

It WILL be a new short, and it's being advertised as such. "All New Bonus Short" may even appear on the cover at some e-tailer sites. I'm quite glad that they'll be doing separate releases. Along with Bambi, this is easily my most anticipated DVD release of next spring.

Happy about the featues, not about the art.

Floating heads are pretty lame and the disc art is so....plain and empty.
Hope they change it, the poster is great for example.

this is probably the least important thing ever, but i really like Slipcovers and i hope this DVD has them. they are becoming more common to have slipcovers, thats why i am hoping it will have it.

besides Extra features and all, i know slipcovers is that last important thing, but i like them.
