hahahaha, yeah
I was thinking the same thing
I really dont trust these mediocre sites. The best bets lie in major Disney sites like this one!

Yup this site and sites like this are great. I like them better than official sites usually since they don't have much substance.

There was an article not too long ago by the creator of "Belleville Rendezvous"(who worked on H2) about Hercules 2 having been developed prior to the original's theatrical release and ultimately scrapped. Anyone know if it's relaunched? I mean, I've heard the Trojan War description but nothing else.
Sequel-wise, I think Disney is risking the future of their brand by releasing these sequels. So a Wal-Mart family sticks a Disney title in their cart every couple weeks. But when a cheapquel and original are given similiar packagining, in time the consumer might lump the two together and buy neither. Quality is its own best investment. And I don't think all these sequels are bad. I think "Return to Neverland" just needed an extra draft. TV animation in of itself is hardly a deterrent for me since I grew up on the stuff and the now-standard digital coloring gives a much slicker presentation.

wow that actually sounds like one of the few disney sequels that may have actually been okay... why was it scrapped?

for them making the sequel, but, I don't think sequels are the worst thing in the world...it's not like they ruin the original movie.

Hey guys, I've been gone a while
Anyways, I bought the Pocahontas DVD a while ago and Mum got me Pocahontas 2 for Christmas. When I watched Pocahontas, I really got into it, you know? Then after that I watched Pocahontas 2. Well I was kinda really shocked with what happened (won't say in case people haven't seen it), and now everytime I watch Pocahontas, Pocahontas 2 plays on my mind. It's weird lol, but it affected the movie for me, but maybe this will change soon.
Snow White 2!

Animated-News.com has posted an article saying that a new sequel for Snow White is in the works!
The recent news that the previously shelved Dumbo II (due to story problems that apparently mirrored Babe: Pig In The City's plot) is back on the cards has opened the floodgates for more sequels to Walt Disney's original classics. Following next year's Bambi And The Great Prince and the in-production Cinderella III and Tinkerbell Movie, it is expected that Disney will officially slate a sequel to Walt's previously thought untouchable first feature in an announcement to be made over the weekend or on Monday. An insider at Disney's direct-to-video operation in Australia has let us know that the film, currently titled Snow White And The Eighth Dwarf, will introduce "the newest addition to our family", a long-lost dwarf named Jumpy, who the Dwarfs thought was lost in the mine years ago. "He's been wandering all alone trying to find his way home all this time" says the scooper. "Having been lost in the deep, dark forest, he's naturally nervous. When he reveals he can't even remember his own name, this leads Snowy [the Dwarfs' new nickname for the Princess] to remark 'I think we'll call you...Jumpy', to which Jumpy leaps up and peeks through the bedsheets, losing Dopey a bed and causing further comic sequences".
The source finishes his message with more plot: "All this takes place while Snowy is on a visit to the Dwarfs following her honeymoon. Meanwhile, Prince Charming has been hypnotised by the dead spirit of the Wicked Queen, who managed to encase her soul in the castle's Magic Mirror. Jumpy has to prove himself by waking all the others up to the scam and lead the Dwarfs on a quest to destroy the mirror once and for all" - well, until Snow White III anyway! Though it is unconfirmed, the insider claims it is understood that Ward Kimball's legendary Soup Song scene, cut from the original, will be finished up and used with new animation of Jumpy added to the mix, for his first night's return celebrations. It is unknown as to whether the sequel will be a theatrical or DVD premiere, but it is expected to be released to mark the first film's 70th Anniversary in 2007.

It has to be a joke. Yeah, that's it, it's just a joke.
But, if it isn't, I think it would be the true end of Disney.

This actually sounds pretty good although it is most likely a joke.
And if it actualy isn't a joke making a sequel to a movie around 60 years old is
NOT a good idea

KinOO and Dan05, please explain why that wouldn't be a good idea? I'm neutral in this, but I'm really interested in your thoughts about it. And please, some CONSTRUCTIVE opinions
Hit me!
PS: Yes, that is an April Fools joke

First off. I did say that I
do like the idea of the story.
Second of all. I clearly stated in my post
why it wouldn't be a good idea.

Relax!
I don't see it in your post though... At least nothing constructive.

In my mind anything's fair game as long as it is made good. Edgar Rice Burroughs wanted Disney to make an animated version of Tarzan and they never got around to making it until about 60 years later . . . and it turned out just fine. I'm not saying that PROVES a sequel to Snow White would be good no matter what but I think there's always the possibility that anything could turn out good.

Well... my thoughts is that it's a joke, because if it's not even been officialy announced yet, would they really have a poster? But, if it isn't, then I would give it a shot. I've liked a lot of the sequals (even though not many of them are as good as the originals) so I probably would like this.
