He's playing another villain. How many villains are there in this movie? I have to admit, I'm not at all interested in this project. Maybe the trailer will change my mind when it's released but so far I'm not feeling it.

^I wasn't very interested in it at first, but Emily Blunt's casting, the new details about the story, and the fact that the producer said they were inspired by The African Queen have made me more excited about it. Though I'm still a bit skeptical. I hope it's more similar to the first Pirates film than to its sequels.

^

That reminds me this movie seems to have several things in common with the story of Tarzan.

Yes, apparently it is a parody of Tarzan. I haven't seen the movie or the cartoon myself yet, but this is what Wikipedia says: "George of the Jungle is an American animated television series produced by Jay Ward and Bill Scott, who created The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. The character George was inspired by the story of Tarzan and a cartoon characterization of George Eiferman drawn by a cook on his mine sweeper in the Navy during World War II."

Thanks, Rumpelstiltskin, but I was actually referring to Jungle Cruise, not to George of the Jungle. Sorry, it's my fault, I didn't specify what film I was talking about. Especially Emily Blunt's character in Jungle Cruise seems to have some things in common with Jane from Tarzan. Both go on an expedition to the jungle accompanied by a relative, and she'll probably have a romance in the movie too with Dwayne Johnson's character.

I've seen George of the Jungle, but many years ago. I didn't like it much. Apart from the animated series, I think there's also a sequel.

Paul Giamatti Joins Dwayne Johnson in Disney's 'Jungle Cruise'
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat- ... se-1099013
Johnson will play a boat captain who takes his sister (Blunt) and her brother (Whitehall) on a mission to find a tree believed to possess healing powers. Wild animals and a competing German expedition figure into the proceedings. Giamatti will play a crusty harbormaster. The movie is heading toward a start later this month and will shoot through the summer.
Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Adds Spain’s Quim Gutiérrez
https://variety.com/2018/film/global/di ... 202851849/
Disney’s “Jungle Cruise,” starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, has added Spanish actor Quim Gutiérrez, one of Spain’s most prominent thirty-something actors who broke out last decade. Directed by Jaume Collet Serra (“The Shallows,” “The Commuter”), “Jungle Cruise” will see Gutiérrez play one of the movie’s villains.
