I thought that I would interject some statistics....

I work for the Disney Store and we are almost out of stock of most everything. The price for each of them is 24.99. We got 6 boxes of treasures in and we have 1 full box and some scattered ones left. We orignally got two boxes of On the Front Lines, One Box of Donald, One box of Mickey, and one box of Tommorrowland....Each box contained 40. We will only be getting that one shipment.

As of 10:00pm tonight we had the following....

10 Donald,
11 Tommorrowland,
52 On the Front LInes,
21 Mickey in Living color 2

So, as you can see, Donald and Tommorrowland have been flying out of here like hotcakes, Mickey isn't far behind. We are having a hard time selling the Front lines one. That wasn't a surprise to me...

I will update the number of stock we have left on saturday.

Well if you started with a 2-to-1 box advantage for Front Lines, it's actually selling only a very slim 1 to 2 units behind Donald and Tomorrowland, and well ahead of Mickey.

Well you had two boxes of it and one of each. So that has to be taken into account.

Amazing how these are selling like hot cakes.

Yes, I know trhat it must be taken into account but I thought I would mention our sales as of Friday the 21st.

We have no Donald left, sold out on thursday
No tommorrowland left, sold out on thursday
3 Mickey left, expect to sell out today being Saturday
and 47 left of On the Front lines

Well it took 3 days to sell out of one box for donald and one box for Tommorrowland. I expect Mickey to sell out today, especially since it is Saturday. But it has been 4 days and we are just now almost down to one box of On the front lines. I bought it and have enjoyed what I have seen but most parents who come in just dont care about this release. I am surprised, I thoguht that the tommorroland tin would be the hardest to sell.

I agree on the Front Lines appeal, and although it is my fave Treasures set (Donald comes in a close second), I was very surprised at the print runs.

Now as for Tomorrowland, it is very surprising it sold out before Mickey, and I wonder how much speculation played into this? I've gone to other forums and there are tons of "Tomorrowland had Lowest Print Runs - Possible Investment" threads going on.

If I had to wager a guess, there seems to be FAR less interest in Tomorrowland set with the general public, than there seems to be with the Disney Speculator looking to turn a buck based on flawed "low print run = valuable" reasoning.

Donald Duck 1 is the big release from this set, and it will be the one to see heavy demand in the future.

I was angry about Amazon sending me a dented tin for Mickey Mouse vol. 2. I went to the Disney store today and I bought a new tin. When I came home and opened it The grey slipcase inside was sticking out of the dvd sleeve and was bent. the number inside the tin is 7,220/175,000. Guess what I did? I switched my dvd cases and switched certificates and used the new tin with my old dvd case. I will sell the dented tin (new dvd case) to a used dvd store. The question though is should I wait till the tins sell out, or should I sell it now?

I don't know who all of the tommorrowland tins were sold to but I sold about 17 or 18 of them. Most of the people who I sold to were either our own castmembers or regular guests who I see quite often in the store. I know that we have had several people come in and buy 2 or 3 complete sets at a time. My guessing is that those people were either headed for ebay or they needed triplicate for some reason such as friends or family members wanting them.
Perhaps what you have heard is correct. Maybe more people are looking to stock up on it early to sell later.

You should most definately wait. Price will increase within 3 months, 6 months, and even a year. Just watch and see what the going prices are on eBay

If it's anything to add here, the Donald tin is the one selling the most with online UK places, much more so than any of the other 3. Indeed, I had to order mine from somewhere in the US than my usual importer as they could have sold their allocation of it many times over, and I couldn't get my copy of it from them (whereas I was able to with the other 3).
