I liked all the callbacks to the original film in this episode. Ming-Na Wen's limited role was great but I was saddened that she was killed off so quickly. I really enjoyed Peli and hope to see more of her. Every scene she had, especially with the child, had me cracking up.

Different week: same complaint: Don't abandon BY in the ship!! Hubs + I liked Peli, too; he wanted her to join The Mandalorian on his journey + be BY's caretaker. I don't know if I believe that Ming-Na's character is dead...

Mando really needs to learn his lesson by now because it always backfires on him. Your husband and I agree on Peli coming along! I was really she would act as the baby's caretaker because he desperately needs one for whenever Mando is gone. Maybe in the next season we can see her again in an extended role.
I kept hoping for a sign that Ming-Na would still be alive but she was shot point blank in the stomach. I figured when Mando came to her, we'd discover she was still alive but from his reaction it was clear she was dead. Then even at the end when the unknown figure arrives, she's still slumped over and dead. So I think it's safe to say she's dead which is unfortunate because I thought she might have a recurring role.

This was the longest episode so far. I didn't think I'd like it from all the new characters but they surprisingly enough worked pretty well together in the "rescue" mission.
It was nice to see the New Republic in action and I liked all the cameos. Matt Lander (voice of Anakin from The Clone Wars) was the New Republic guard killed while Dave Filoni (who created this show with Jon Favreau) as one of the Republic pilots at the end. I also didn't realize that Natalia Tena, who plays Tonks in the Harry Potter films and I think is in Game of Thrones, was the female Twi'lek in this episode. Ironically enough, her character I couldn't stand the most and was hoping would meet a gruesome end.
The twist ending was unexpected but I shouldn't have been that surprised because it's clear that Mando doesn't like to kill if he doesn't have to.

Mando makes the worst decisions. I know there wouldn't be much of a show if he had stayed with the nice people and BY's children friends, but he would've had a better life there. He's never going to get more jobs at this rate, since so many want him dead now. I was worried about BY and the red strong guy, and with Bill Burr, and the Droid on the ship. If Mando keeps allowing others on the ship, he needs to hide BY better!! The end was great, with the tracking beacon.

I agree, I'm surprised at his cavalier attitude of letting people on the ship with the child around. He really needs to find a better method of keeping him safe which is why I was hoping Peli from the previous episode would come along as a caretaker.

Just a quick reminder that the next episode will be released this Wednesday (12/18) instead of Friday. Because Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is being released this Friday, the episode's premiere date has been moved up. After this, the show will resume its regular schedule for the eighth and final episode of the season.

Wow, this was an amazing episode, if not the best yet. Finally all the characters come together but the ending was so shocking. I can't believe it ended like that and there were so many twists between the Imperials.

I dont think the Stormtroopers will harm BY, but I wonder what the bad guy wants with him. When Mando said earlier in the episode that he was going to get someone to watch BY, I thought he meant Peli; my hubby said that Tatooine is too dangerous for BY to be...

The stormtroopers won't harm the child but I'm afraid of what the Grand Moff has in store for him. I think it could tie into some of the things in TROS.
I was hoping Peli too lol. Hopefully we'll see her again next season.

I'm very satisfied with the season finale. I was bothered by the Stormtroopers abusing BY. IG was great. Whoa at the Armorer's skills! And Rocketeer Mando is very cool. Can't wait for next season!

I hated those stormtroopers as well for what they did. This was overall a great finale! Can't wait to see baby Yoda's homeworld and I'm glad the female Mando came back in this episode and survived. Very heartbreaking to see IG-88 sacrifice himself especially after Kuill died. I was hoping they would both survive.
The final reveal of the darksaber was exciting! I don't know much about it so I'll have to look more into it.

Never been a fan of the character myself but I'm happy for her fans I guess.

I saw that article the other day and to be honest, I completely ignore any articles that are blatantly attacking Kathleen Kennedy, especially when the last few years have proven that despite all the claims that she's "feminized" and "destroyed" Star Wars and will be chucked out from her job any second, she's still standing. These articles are plain clickbait and I'm not going to give them the audience they are so desperately looking for.

I wonder if they'll ever bring back Daniel Logan, perhaps to play Boba Fett in Obi-Wan Kenobi. I've become a fan of him after learning he is a Reylo.
