I was hoping for a mention of Zootopia 2. I'm happy with everything that was presented. Soul & Raya had a bunch of new stuff. Frozen II is being praised online. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker had some exciting info. I'm pleased.

I didn’t expect anything about Zootopia 2, although I have *no doubt* it’s being worked on. Disney wants to shutdown the "they only make sequels now" criticisms. Which means they’ll wait a while more to let the excitement over Raya to spread before announcing Zootopia 2 down the line.

Zootopia 2 being released in 2022 makes the most sense to me, so there's really no reason for them to talk about it now.

I'm most interested in the animated projects greenlighted after Lasseter's departure, which will hopefully include as few sequels as possible.
And maybe some concept art from Blue Sky's Nimona.

I’m wondering if there isn’t a plethora of projects sitting there waiting to be greenlit now that he’s gone and only a small number of slots, and they’re trying to work out which are best during this time. That might be why so little was announced during D23.

Highlights from the Walt Disney Studios presentation and
red-carpet interviews with the cast and crew of each of the films.
Sotiris wrote:I found the Disney Studios presentation underwhelming. No new movie announcements aside from Raya and the Last Dragon (formerly Dragon Empire) which we already knew about. No announcements of new live-action films either. It was slim pickings this year.
I didn't have high expectations since we knew the presentation would be quite shorter than usual and that meant they would most likely reveal less things this year. However, I still found it a bit disappointing too. I thought they would reveal at least one new project we didn't know anything about, but that wasn't the case. I also thought
The Little Mermaid remake would be part of the presentation. Anyway, I mostly liked the things that were revealed, especially after reading the footage descriptions, and I'm more excited for those movies than before.

Agreed, but I'm glad that we at least got something about
Raya and the Last Dragon (even though apparently it was sparse).

BUT they showed a lot of clips, footage, concept arts.. that haven’t reached the Internet so far.

I know that a lot of people here probably aren't too interested in the Parks panel, but I'm so excited, and I was planning on "live posting" again, but I had to drop one of my dogs at the vet due to an accident

so depending on when I need to pick her up, I can't be on Twitter...

I attended it. Despite that Eric Goldberg and
fucking Dick Van Dyke appeared on stage

, the rest of the panel was underwhelming and kinda boring.. They didn’t announce too much (and it was often stuffs we already heard of even if it was unofficially). So don’t have regrets

I left before the very end and don’t think I missed much.

Oh, sorry. It wasn't my intention to cite a statement based on ignorance.

Well, the Park announcements were underwhelming as heck, minus Mary Poppins and the Cirque show. We have heard much more about Epcot - whose announcements were all already made - than Magic Kingdom - which is supposed to get a load of stuff within the next two years for its 50th.
I'm presuming that Brazil was going to be the headliner for Epcot. But it wasn’t announced for obvious reasons. I have no clue what the heck happened to that Coco Mexico announcement. It is teased like heck in the New Epcot and posters exhibit. Whatever Figment is officially going to get something or not like Twitter was going off about, I don’t know. I have heard rumors over the years, so I’m going to guess yes. There was a small tease as well with the Epcot exhibit. So….I don’t know. The announcements were weird today. I think all of this will be announced in October at the teasing exhibit.

^^ I agree; I think there will be more announcements down the road, maybe once some of these new things open up. I'm beyond excited for the TP&tF restaurant!! (even though I have yet to go to Be Our Guest, which is on my bucket list.)

Thank you- she was jumping off a table, her toenail got caught, and out came her toenail...she's on antibiotics + pain pills; the vet's not too worried. But luckily I only had to pause a few minutes of the livestream so I still got to watch/post the Parks presentation! (I had dropped her off in the morning and the vet called during the presentation.)
Ooh, I have to get ready for work and don't have time to watch all the goodies you posted, but THANK YOU FOR POSTING THEM!!!!

I'm glad it wasn't anything too serious and that you didn't miss the Parks presentation.

I wanted to watch the
Tarzan and the
Fun and Fancy Free panels, but it seems nobody has uploaded them yet. Maybe they weren't recorded by any attendee. If that's the case, I hope Disney releases them at same point like they did with the
Hercules panel from the previous Expo.

I hope to see the "Fun and Fancy Free" panel, too, since I was there and they sang several songs that were not used in the final picture.

What?! Before, I wanted to watch the panel, but now I NEED to watch it!

I love the songs in
Fun and Fancy Free and I'd love to listen to the deleted ones. I really hope Disney uploads the panel.
By the way, here are a
video with highlights from the
Tarzan panel and a
clip of Matthew Morrison singing at the same event.
