This seems worthwhile. I'll be sure to see it soon.

Howard Ashman's final years were very sad but also very impressive

I watched this yesterday- it was very well-made. I smiled a lot through it, but also shed some tears. I also followed it up with Waking Sleeping Beauty.

This was a very, very good documentary. It pretty much covered everything we should know about Howard Ashman, his life, his works, and his relationships, aside from what we could only know if we interviewed Howard today about everything else important in his life. It was so well-made that even though my depression has desensitized me to crying, I could feel the emotion in the end. The only thing missing was at least a little something about "Once Upon a Time in New York City". Just needed that one little mention. Oh, and also they showed the cartoon of Howard giving donuts and I believe it was about the Prince being shown getting transformed as a child and Howard yelling at the guys when they rejected his idea, and they didn't explain that was going on in the cartoon, so I think they should have explained that was what was going on the cartoon, if it was. But good job Don Hahn. A truly wonderful biography of the one of the world's best not just lyricists, but, truly, best storytellers. Roy Disney even mentions he could have compared him to Walt.

Aww, thank you DisneyFan97. That was very nice of you to say. You're very nice, too! What you said to me makes me feel better, even though I still have depression. I look very much forward to Heaven, when I will have all my happiness I ever lost returned to me, and then some!

I just finished Howard. I’d been putting it off because I thought it would be sad, and well, it was. But I’m glad we have this tribute to the man and maestro that was Howard Ashman.

This is an amazing and very touching tribute to the great Howard Ashman. Knowing he had AIDS before starting to work on The Little Mermaid makes me admire him even more. Such a great talent.

I'm glad it has gotten those nominations. I still have to see it. I had Disney+ for a month, but didn't have much free time and couldn't take much advantage of it. I plan to subscribe for another month soon, so I'll watch it then.

I'll probably never see it if it's not released physically.

I imagine it would lose to the John Lewis documentary for the Critics Choice award.

I didn't think there were more projects he could be nominated for this year. I guess this must be a tough category too, but it's great that he's getting so many nominations lately.

Has anyone seen or listened to "Kurt Vonnegut's God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater"? What did you think about it?
