Why is Frozen not included?
Sure, Elsa is a Queen but she also started as princess plus Anna still is. Anyways, it is a princess movie. Why don´t have it in the list?
I don't think Frozen is included in the Disney Princess franchise line.

Apparently, a Blu-ray of The Enchanted Christmas is coming on October 25th as a DMC exclusive.

Of course.
The Enchanted Christmas is one of the very few sequels I'd actually want to buy. It being a DMC exclusive saves me money anyway.

I am just relieved that The Enchanted Christmas will be available on Blu-ray again. In 2010 I did buy the original 2 -disc Diamond edition Blu-ray of the first movie but I did not buy the sequel. Because back then, I didn't want any sequels on Blu-ray but over the years I have changed my mind and want them in my collection too.
Call me crazy maybe.

Got an e-mail from Disney Movie Club that 101 Dalmatians is gonna go in the vault September 1st. In addition, my Disney Movie Club flyer said The Little Mermaid, it's sequels, Cinderella and it's sequels and The Jungle Book 1 and 2 are going to be vaulted.

Interesting. I wonder how come Cinderella is vaulted so late. Didn't it sell so well like the other Diamond Editions?
As for The Enchanted Christmas, I'm still debating whether or not to buy it. I see the bonus features will be the same as the 2011 edition, so the only upgrade would be the film itself. What do you guys recommend?

Sucks for Jungle Book, but remember if you guys don't have Dalmatians, Mermaid & Cinderella yet and can't get them after they go to the vault. The European versions are Region Free and the vault doesn't exist there.

Like DisneyBluLife, when the format started, I made a conscious decision not to buy any of the sequels if they were released on stand alone sets. I already owned most of them anyway, they don't have much replay value, and now just exist as curiosities in my collection.
The TLM sequels did matter to me, so I bought those on Blu, but that's been it, not counting 2-movie collections. I've begun to regret not picking up BATB 2 every Christmas, though, so I'm so happy to see its being rereleased on Blu. I was planning on signing up for a new DMC membership anyway, so I'll probably snag that title and the Cinderella sequels, too, before they get vaulted.
The only thing that boggles my mind is why we haven't seen a complete series release of TLM or Aladdin? Surely the same people who buy these sequels on DVD/BD would chomp at the bit to buy the TV shows with hours more content?

I know that this is

, but I’m beginning to wonder if we’ll ever get the rest of the package films and The Black Cauldron on Blu-ray. My patience has run thin on those.

I still don't believe that we didn't get "A Goofy Movie" on Blu-ray!

Oh no, that isn't why Sicoe Vlad, Cinderella sold very excellent on Blu-ray! It was because Disney knew they had an upcoming live-action movie so they decided to keep Cinderella out longer so they could tie it in with the new movie.
If you don't already have Beauty and the Beast 2: The enchanted christmas on Blu-ray, I don't see any problem to not pick it up.

Not to sound too bleak, but I'm not expecting them ... ever. It's late 2016, Disney Home Video has almost phased-out Blu-ray, and the five most obscure/poor-selling WDAS films are still not on the format.
I would say I'm 95% certain those final five films will not make it to Blu. If they do crop up in some barely-advertised DMC-exclusive release I will be very (pleasantly) surprised.
Thankfully, Black Cauldron's current DVD is OK in terms of AV quality (by DVD standards nonetheless). The same cannot be said for the remaining package films' DVDs, which yield a disastrous, eye-raping image on a modern flat-screen TV. This may sound extreme, but I've decided that I will not watch these films again until they get a decent release, be it disc-based, cloud-based, or telepathically projected or something.
I would obviously prefer a Blu-ray release and not streamed solution seeing as the latter would most likely not be available in my country.

The Black Cauldron will make it eventually. If anything cause of the live action adaptations.
What I don´t get is why Spain still hasn´t got The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and The Great Mouse Detective or Winnie the Pooh that´s just on DVD.

I agree, but Disney TV Animation in general on DVD has not been treated as kindly by Disney as say any 90's Nick Toons show by Paramount or Animaniacs and the DCAU shows by Warner. My gosh, the last 25 episodes on DuckTales still are not on DVD!
A few years ago, I had a contact at Disney Home Entertainment, and one of the thing my contact told me was that series and sequels based on DAC or PIXAR films are part of home grown franchises for the studio, and they want to do what they feel will be best for each franchise, which apparently means not releasing the TV shows. All I can figure is some group of higher ups fear that sales of the TV shows will somehow hurt the sales of the original films. This makes no sense to me however, but what do I know? I don't have an MBA.

I know, right? It was announced on some flyer a year or two ago and now nothing. Based on the popularity of the film, I'm kind of surprised by this.

First off, what source do you have that Disney has almost phased out of Blu-ray? Yes, I know it has been said before that Disney, more so than many of the other studios, really wants to move into digital, however if you look at the sales numbers on places like Home Entertainment Magazine, Disney would be stupid to do so anytime soon. In fact there was just a recent report on how physical media is still the preferred choice for most consumers.
http://www.mediapost.com/publications/a ... -rays.html
Again, the point being is that both Disney DVD and Blu-ray aren't going anywhere right now. However, what I do expect from Disney going forward is less and less bonus content on their physical releases till we finally get to the point they completely stop adding any bonus content sans ads for new projects.
As for the films in question, I'm not worried about them coming out. Especially the last package films; they might end up DMC titles instead of retail, but I wouldn't call them out just yet. Now if by 2020 they still are not out, that might be a different tune, maybe. Time will tell.

Ah, I see, and it actually makes sense. Wonder why I didn't think of that.
Yeah, I gave in and I pre-ordered the movie on Blu-ray from the Movie Club. It's one of my favorite DTV sequels from Disney, and I enjoy watching it at Christmas.

I'm surprised Disney is vaulting more movies for the first time since 2013!
I don't see what the point of Vaulting the movies anymore. Since the "dangers of obscurity" to general audiences are completely superfluous compared to the last decade since we have digital copies, Netflix, etc.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Cinderella going to be on Netflix?
Also, just curious: Why isn't Sleeping Beauty being Vaulted now? That was released before 101 Dalmatians DE. Is there another live action remake I'm not aware of? And why did they keep Cinderella out for so long after the remake and yet Disney's announcing The Jungle Book Vaulting just a few months after the remake. In an unrelated topic, I still don't understand why they bother with the Jungle Book at all, sure I like it, but compared to the other vault movies (even the ones that are kinda in there, like Alice or Fantasia) I imagine the Jungle book barley edged in there.

I think it's time for me to stick a fork in my Disney Blu Ray collecting days. Disney doesn't seem keen on releasing worthwhile sets anymore and It's now had two years of piss-poor offerings for consumers on catalog titles. Truth be told actually having to deal with physical discs and storage for them all too has become cumbersome. It's not that it's difficult, but why would I bother with all the extra steps when I can watch my digital copies with a push of a button? I was very reluctant to go digital, but it looks like I am. No sense fighting the changing tide anymore. I got used to (and grew to love) digital music distribution, 'bout time I did the same for film.

From what I saw, the DVD will have all the previous bonus features, so I think it's safe to say that the Blu-ray will, too.
