I'm so glad Glen Keane got the Oscar! It was the best moment of the show for me.

The company is in production on two films: “Abominable,” about a yeti and formerly titled “Everest,” and “Over the Moon,” a reimagined version of a classic Chinese myth about a mysterious moon goddess named Chang’e. The latter film is written by Audrey Wells (“Under the Tuscan Sun”), produced by Janet Yang (“Joy Luck Club”) and directed by Academy Award-winning animator Glen Keane. The helmer is known for his work on “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Tangled.” The film will be CG, but will have the hand-drawn look that defines much of Keane’s stylistic approach to animation.

Hopefully it means a new technique, not just a style of choice.

It's CGI.

This looks so good! Love the character designs, especially of the main character. This is the first time, a CG model actually looks like a Glen Keane drawing. The expressions are spot on. Love the myth of the moon goddess. Love the 2D animation by Glen Keane. Love that it's a musical. This should have been made by Disney. Big mistake they didn't let him follow through with his vision of Rapunzel.

I'm still disappointed that it's not hand drawn and I don't like the modern setting. I agree about the facial expressions, though in my opinion Tangled was similar.

Yes, I love this!!! The 2D clips in the trailer definitely have the Glen Keane touch. And I love how magical the story is. So excited!

It was announced from the start it was going to be CG, so I wasn't disappointed by that. Obviously, I would have preferred it was hand-drawn. I don't like the modern setting either, but that are so many other elements in it I enjoy, I'm letting it slide.

I LOVE the look and the story seems to be stellar (pun intended). Can't wait to see this.

I actually checked the news earlier to see if there was anything new about the project, but didn't find anything. Guess I just missed it.

So far I like the trailer, even if I'm not completely sold on the stowaway. It seems like the kind of movies that Glen Keane loves; "believe in yourself, you can do anything if you put Your heart and soul into it".
But please, don't let it be one of those "it was all a dream"-endings (which is luckily getting more rare these days), where the spaceship is a failure, she crash, is knocked unconscious and then wakes up with a worried father standing over her. Or the kind of endings that Guillermo del Toro seems to enjoy, where it's all up to the viewers to decide if it really happened or not.

I don't think that's the case since it seems like her family doubts her and it kind of contradicts the message of "Believe in yourself" if you end up being delusional.
