I recently saw
Pocahontas for the first time in a long time and I must admit that I think it's an underrated film. Most certainly not one of Disney's best classics, but an entertaining film none the less. And best of all, there's a guy who uses a shell as a trumpet.

I think that if you push the true story of the real Pocahontas out of your mind, the movie can be slightly enjoyable. Although, I have to admit, it was one of those movies that used the Disney formula. Along with HoND, Tarzan, and Hercules.

I think Pocahontas is one of Disney's weakest films especially next to all the other great movies released around the 1990's.

Wonderlicious/Joe, the shell dude is actually a Conch dude.

As in...
Lord of the Flies (and also because I grew up on an island *not Alcatraz [thanks
orestes.
]*)
Pocahontas was..okay.
I don't know, I have to see it again.
I like Meeko and Percy a lot more than Pocahontas and John Smith!

but the story's...a
bit boring for me.
Like I said, I'll have to see it again.
But I like the song they're putting in...
If I Never Knew you.... It's sweet!

I so disagree. I was fascinated with every moment of it. I guess it comes down to individual preferences...

Well for me Pocahontas was okay. It wasn't the worst Disney film made, but it was weak compared to Disney's greatest. Meeko saved the show however

I like Pocahontas. I saw the Pocahontas on Ice when they had the show in Vancouver at GM Place. I'm buying the Pocahontas 10th AE DVD when it comes out. I can't wait.

Though Pocahantas might be to most one of the weakest Disney movies of its ear. I actually liked it. its defitnley one of my top five favorites from the 1990s. I am not really sure what it was that attracted me to it. I loved the music maybe that was it. I am so excited about SE coming out in May that will have "If never knew you" included in the movie.

I like Pocahontas quite a bit,actually...I love the songs(esp. "Colors of the Wind" and "If I Never Knew You"),animation, and that though it's much more serious than the other Disney animated films(including a not-so happy ending;a first for Disney),it's also got humor in there too(mostly by the animals)...I'm definitely buying the 10th Anniversary DVD...

I also saw Pocahontas on Ice. I got a light-up spear with the imprint of Kocoum on it. I was pretty much the lamest 13-year-old ever.

I got the program souvenir. I've got every program souvenir from either the Disney On Ice shows or Ice Capades.

I positively adore Pocahontas. One of my favorite Disney films, in fact.
First saw it in '95 in theatres with my dad and I've been smitten with it ever since. The music, the artwork, the love story *blush*, etc.--I loved all of it. It's, of course, not without its flaws (main one being the major PC-cramming) but I think its pros outweight its cons and it's a very, very enjoyable movie. Just don't expect a history lesson, ne. d:
