That's exactly what I was thinking, a really odd choice of pet for Ariel ! I suppose they could have given her Flounder to keep in a tank on land ... but guess he just wasn't pink & sparkly enough !!

They should of just made it a fox and not have to feed it fish and have a reason for being that shade.

I downloaded this app. It is quite enjoyable, and the pets are really cute.

How many freekin pets do these ladies have ?! Don't forget they also had their original pets too, but I guess those ones have been erased now ?

Oh fun, I didn't know they finally did Rapunzel's kitty Summer!
The drawing of the kitty on the box looks so close to one of the drawing I did at the beginning for Disney Products...very funny. ^^

They could have had a little brown kitten with choppy fur to represent how she actually looks at the end of the film...

I wonder if we will ever any merchandise of Rapunzel with brown hair; I know we got the wedding doll, but that was also released with flipping blonde hair too !

This is just to compete with the My Little Pony craze and My Little Pet Shop as soon as that goes of fashion this will drop and it would be like The Princesses new pets never existed while the originals will live on forever and won't just be a new " hip " craze.

Sort of like Minnie's friends during the 80's/ 90's in those picture books.

Goodness, I hope they do 'disappear' thelittleursula, as they appear to have no real sense or logic to them. I know applying those to sensibilities to a children's toy line seems a bit extreme, but it just seems so disappointing that this amazing and passionate characters are now turning into this....glittery sparkly nonsense.

Agree with you so much it's all so stupid and a little insulting to leave out the originals like Cinderella's mice. Insulting towards Disney as well imo.

It's sort of like saying " Screw your original creations, we are going to make and design new pets for $ because that is more important " !

Exactly ! Disney being Disney, they could then fuel that to make a new line of their already existing characters....like the abandoned Bunnies line.

Yeah that is kinda dumb. Or just make the tiger a girl. Aren't all the other pets girls? And why is Mulan's panda not there? I'm guessing no pets for Tiana, Pocahontas and Merida.

Why pets?

Unless the princesses actually had pets or animal companions, this whole thing seems pointless.
