well no shit shirlock. It wasnt a disney crossover its disneyand square. And crossovers rarely make for entertainment at all theyre traditionally so bad. And its not even a crossover anymore. It mostly focuses on its own ideas. At least it tries anyway.

Myself and other fans of the series can sctually acknowledge and address problems but except for the final fantasy elements nobody ever thought it was a crossover even before thdfirst game. Its become convoluted but there is once again clear direction at this point. Like any fantady it established its own rules and has yet to break them unlike many animes and othershows. And im using my phone wighout mic so forgive grammar errors.

ajmrowland wrote:you passionately hate so you clearly dont play the games. That's just common sense. You cant claim to really know that much about the series unless for some reason you actually care.
Uh no I have played the game otherwise I wouldn't have made the comment on it. If you notice on this forum(and else where too), I never remark or make an opinion on anything I have not seen. Brother Bear, Treasure Planet, Bolt, etc I have not seen and thus never gave an opinion on it. KH I have played and to me, It's just like everything other stuff I've seen. And I watch a shit tons of stuff so don't put words in my mouth as if you know me.

ajmrowland wrote:Also i did say it was convoluted. That has nothing to do with originality though.
It doesn't, but if I want play good game or read/watch a good story, a convoluted mess isn't one to go by. I was calling out it's story being a convoluted mess as example of bad story.

ajmrowland wrote:Your right now just being a hater until you start actually addressing the issues the series has in depth which at ghis point requires a wall of text.
Again don't put words in my mouth as if you know anything. I'm not a hater for sake of being one. I'm never like that at all or ever. Also Depth? what depth? The depth and themes in the games are same contrived stuff I've seen in so many other anime/manga. And I've read a fuck ton a lot so I know what i'm talking about here.
The stuff shown and said in KH have shown same formula in so many other cliches in anime and manga. I've seen it once I've seen them all.

On the contrary, why don't you "enlighten" to us "KH ignorants" on why it's so DEEP?
ajmrowland wrote:If your not willing to back up your pov and be mature about this then dont bother talking about kh cuz you actually care about it enough to want down anything not even positive but neutral about it. After all it takes some amount of care to hate something. I dont hate justin beiber cuz j couldntcare less about him. You should try the same.
Oh fucking please. I merely state out my opinion and why I find it shit. You're the one who's getting all butthurt over my opinion. LOL at using a Justin Beiber comparison.

Not even that. The only Disney characters the Square guys interact with are the main crew and the Hercules area. And Final Fantasy was shoved in to lure people who wouldn't buy a Disney game into the franchise, and now they're being phased out.

As much as I am a princess fan I just don't see this happening any time soon.

all valid points. i dont just sit around hating nor am i blind to the flaws. i have an imagination and half a mind to be the story editor. it really doesnt take a huge effort to understand it just wasnt planned very well, or in th3 beginning at all. you're still the first person to really say you expected the disney properties to crossover each other. at least thats what i saw in a previous post.

anyway ihave a clearer head now. i was emotionak before. i dont have a problem with people not liking kh. its more the passionate hate that super aurora had. i hate haters of just about anything, but the way he always is the one to actually start these arguments and never even attempts to back up his pov is overall borderline regina vs snow white psychotic. kh is not entirely innocent here bur to keep shooting anything remotely positive said about a videogame of all things is just not healthy. i dont shoot twilight or bieber or snooki all the time. they're not worth it. they're not worth shit to me. they're beneath my hate in favor of people who call fantasy silly and racism.

Since when? All I did was call out on BS when I see it like the it's "original" statement. If i had a passionate hate for it I would call it to get burn, doesn't deserve to exist blah blah blah. When I see hardcore fans gets it over glorified merits that it has none to, then I call out on it. I do same with anything else. Same for Sleeping Beauty, same for anything else.

Whoa whoa whoa, hold it right there. I started this? Last I check on this thread, you brought up the KH topic into the thread again by replying to a 3 month old post. I just made silly image reaction.

I missed it before because apparently you edit the bold in after I read it:
ajmrowland wrote:I saw your name and knew you couldnt resist :P

And since you are such a passionate hater, you clearly gave up after or even before finishing one of the games, likely KH1, meaning you wouldnt have any awareness of 90% of the(notoriously convoluted) plot and story elements and characters in 6 out of 7 games.
So I started it? You're the one labeling me as something i'm not. As I said before I played all the games to see where the story head. Mostly because I actually enjoyed the first one. It was the type of game I expected it to be. the more and more it went on, the more I got really annoyed how much it fell to typical Nomura cliches. All that stuff about having "dark hearts" "Nobodies" "inverses", Sora's heartless, binding all memories to Sora etc was useless additions that it never really been needed to begin with. I won't even start on Ansem, Xenohart Xemnas and the Org 13 cluster fuck. So If I didn't know 90% of KH why would I state my opinion on the matter to begin with? Oh that's right, i'm a PASSIONATE HATER.
ajmrowland wrote:and never even attempts to back up his pov is overall borderline regina vs snow white psychotic.
I'm pretty sure I have. On the contrary you haven't explain to me why or rather what is original about KH.

ajmrowland wrote:kh is not entirely innocent here bur to keep shooting anything remotely positive said about a videogame of all things is just not healthy.
I don't think I ever shot down anything positive about KH. I find the gameplay mechinc to be good and enjoyable. If you listen to me I shot down the story and characters.

Well it was originally conceived with more proper crossover stuff with world party members tagging along for the ride and the whole thing with Beast going to Hollow Bastion initially conceived as involving all the Disney Princes. Disney's restrictions put the kibosh in that. First game's still probably the best in the story department as it felt like Square was actually trying to tell a story in a more Disney-inspired fashion with a Disney-esque hero, a "princess" and a gloriously hammy villain.

As for the story planning, Nomura has admitted he's been making it up as he goes (had to figure out what to do with the Another Side Another Story thing and work all of those random lines into the game's script) and the convolution comes from advice he got from the former head of Square that a stupidly complex storyline will attract sales.

As far as post-KH2 series goes, I liked Birth By Sleep's story, but Coded and Fun With Fractions (Days) seemed pretty pointless. Dream Drop Distance has some moments, but is pretty contradictory with the Nobodies being capable of growing hearts back and changing the time travel rules from what KH2 had with Timeless River. I'd love to see a reboot after the whole Xehanort story ends written by an American creative team.

to be fair it always seems that way whenever its brought up. And thats in response to all.

Youd be surprised how argumentative i can get. I can get passionate in fighting about something im not even all that passionate about. Like marvel vs dc or some tcommon trends. So when i actually am passionate in my pov it really becomes a problem for me emotionally. That said i normally have no problem with someone who doesnt like kingdom hearts. I know a lot of people who dont but something about your reaction really rubbed me the wrong way.

I still think you sometimes are like dvdjunkie on the glee thread but i just want you to know i can respect your opinion and i simply ask you to respect mine.

And its off topic but yeah i like to joke sometimes too.

That I will safely say you are right. It will never happen. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse will end and there will be an Epic Mickey 3 before this actually would happen

I actually like the idea in my opinion. Although I'm a sucker for crossovers myself but I digress

Plus it has the dangerous P word :P

That's my point. Disney if faced whether they had to make Epic Mickey 3 or this it would be Epic Mickey 3, though maybe not because there would be a lot of people like this I think. I'm sure many Disney fans may not but the general public might.

Although the concept art looks to be the quality of that fashion video that was on youtube with various Disney characters modeling outfits from the fashion world. I honestly do not like that Disney Fashion Video. I think it's done in very poor taste. I would rather have seen this than that sad excuse for a Disney Short Fashion style.

Plus as I said it would probably just get renamed SCHOOL since the word Princess is strictly forbidden and to use it means ultimate doom in the box office :P

I love seeing these drawings even with the actual short not happening.

The little girl looking through the door at Tiana who is about to descend the staircase seems like a child version of Aurora.

The artwork is obviously top-notch but how are they supposed to animated this? Are they going to hire a small studio? That's very expensive. Do they even have the funding?

EDIT: I know learn that the project has been cancelled. Figures. It was very naive of them to think that Disney would even consider this project.

They should have raised funds and produced it independently if they cared for the project that much.

There is no way the Mouse would allow that! They'd be sued to infinity and beyond the minute they started looking for funding!

I didn't say they would sell it or gain any profit from it. They could simply post it online when it's finished just like those fans who made the live-action Toy Story remake did. Disney didn't sue them nor did they remove their video.

The odd thing is that they didn't even try to present their project to Disney.
