As for the idea of Finding Nemo 2, I can't say it interests me that much. The original did wrap things up quite neatly, and I would say that it personally ranks as one of my least favourite Pixar films (not that it's bad at all in any case). If a series of shorts or holiday specials were made, however, I wouldn't be too bothered.

I really hope Disney's sequels future sequels turn out like Toon Studios!
But If anything is happening I really hope they retain the quality of TS3.

This is why we should not assume and should not believe everything you hear on the internet.I mean sometimes people are getting it wrong and just run things before everything is confirmed.I mean it seems more like the guy wasn't even thinking there would be more sequels.I mean there are more oginal movies coming out since they recently announced that they are making a movie about the human mind,dinosaurs,Venetia,and that Mexican holiday one.

I think Finding Nemo 2 is an unfounded rumour.And the guy was just saying that its not what is happening right now at Pixar.Okay,Tom Hanks is going on about Toy Story 4 but he has been wrong before and maybe is misintrpeting things again.

I agree. Looking at the response to the rumours of Finding Nemo 2 and Toy Story 4, there has been a lot of hysteria surrounding both films and I think Stanton is tyring to dampen that and is saying that such a response is premature at the moment.

The only onese that really made me laugh were the Brave and WALL E titles, and then Ellie's Afterlife Adventures at the bottom.

The more they make these unnecessary sequels (Cars 2, Finding Nemo 2. I am not counting the Toy Story films) the more I think I am losing some respect for them. Pixar used to make some of the best computer animated movies ever. Now I think they are selling out their creativity.

I don't know how Monsters University will turn out given, the little detail we have so far (Besides the trailer), but maybe it will be a lot better then Cars 2.

There are three completely original films in development and on the slate through 2015/2016 while, as Sotiris has said, there are least two more original films planned, one set in Venice and the other is Mark Andrews' sci-fi film. Aside from those five, there are probably more original films in the pipeline that we know nothing about at the moment so I really don't think Pixar have sold out their creativity in the slightest. Pixar aren't only making sequels, there are still plenty of creative and original films in the pipeline for us to enjoy over the next few years.

Jimmy fallon made a joke about it, using a set up saying rather matter of factly pixar is making finding nemo 2. I heard gasps from women in the audience. All I could do is shake my head at the misinformation/jumping to conclusions.

The coral reef where Finding Nemo took place is dead, making a sequel for environmental awareness might be a good thing. Here’s a video on the destruction of the reef. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0oTxEV9yhc

Perhaps it's time for a WALL-E/Nemo crossover?

Joking aside, I think going down this route probably would be the best bet, and using well-known characters probably would bolster the cause as well.

That would actually be an interesting plot for a sequel (to me)--and I never liked the original, other than Degeneres.

Ellen DeGeneres is in negotiations to reprise her role in Disney/Pixar's planned Finding Nemo sequel. Victoria Strouse is writing the script and Lindsey Collins is producing. A 2016 release date is projected.

I am more open to this idea than the Monsters Inc prequel but I hope they will not use the title 'Finding Nemo 2'. Last thing we need is a rehash. Using the characters to tell a new story is fine.

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning was used for the promotion of clean oceans; it even had a print and advertising campaign. So this plot could be possible ?

I would love a Dory-focused movie actually. More of a spin-off I guess.
