@robster: What a cute picture! I imagine these roles were so much fun to play (as much as they were to watch), which is why I'm not surprised they'd be willing to return for a sequel.

For some reason I always think of Bedknobs and Broomsticks when someone discuss Hocus Pocus.

Originally the phrase "hocus pocus" used to refer to Catholocisim because they used Latin all the time.

The re-release of "Hocus Pocus" is actually pulling in decent numbers for a movie widely available on a streaming service and playing in the middle of a pandemic, which makes me wonder if Disney will consider giving the sequel a theatrical release rather than going straight to Disney+. The first film's status has risen a lot since 1993 and I think there's clearly an audience willing to see a sequel in theatres.

Quick note that I have seen no evidence the live stream on Friday will be available on Hulu. I think the confusion may be because the event is called "Hulaween" which is what Bette's Halloween party has been called for years. According to the website, the stream is only available for those who paid for it via the NYRP website, and won't be available after it airs. Just a heads up!
