You know, I was playing Epic Mickey 2 and it was awesome. Haven't play Power of Illusion yet. If I like the Power of Illusion then maybe this will be possible that it might be turn into a cartoon series. That's a great idea.

Oh I've got the Power of Illusion and so far it's a high recommed. I mentioned it over in the Epic Mickey 2 thread. It's a little easier than the older Sega Genesis Disney games like Aladdin, but at the moment it's still great.
Plus those who can't play the games for whatever reason will be able to meet the forgotten characters like Oswald if there is a cartoon !

http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disney-nyc ... ion-58047/ I heard Warren Spector was trying to convince Disney to make a movie. But at this time, Disney is not interested. So, in honor of that, I have one thing to say,
COWARDS!
I know, I know, I have to calm down. I'm trying to patient as I can. It just a hard challenge for me. But, hopefully it'll change when the third game comes.

Not only has Spector considered the possibilities, but he told me he’s actually produced animation as a proof of concept. He was quick to note, however, that he is doing this all independently on his own as a pet project and it is in no way on Disney’s radar at this time.
I wish they included that proof of concept as a bonus in 'Epic Mickey 2'. It's such a shame not releasing it to the public.

I'm dying for any new Mickey and the gang animation.
Why can't we atleast get Epic Mickey shorts before these features?
I love seeing a great short before a movie. Paperman was cool, but i would have preferred Mickey Mouse.
Look how great the Toy Story shorts are, Disney can do the same with Mickey.
They should use the Epic Mickey 1930s look though!

I will tell you why they won't make another Mickey Mouse movie. Cause you chased off the Eisner regime which did stuff with the old Disney Properties and would have made a Mickey Mouse movie but stupid Disney Fans wouldn't keep their mouths shut. Eisner is killing this ride or that ride at the parks ,Eisner is making sequels ,blah blah blah and guess what you got a regime that runs around buying up other properties rather then doing thins with the old Disney properties. The Igor regime bought up Marvel , Lucasfilm , muppets ,etc. Serves you right there is no more Mickey Mouse.

Disney acquired 'The Muppets' and 'Bear in the Big Blue House' in 2004 under the Michael Eisner regime.

An eisner mickey might have happened, but it wouldn't have been hand drawn, according to him it was (is?) dead.

If Eisner was still in charge, we wouldn't have Pixar, we might actually have something like Eeyore's Gloomy Movie and by now we would be seeing Snow White 2 and a very different Toy Story 3.

I stand corrected then. Eisner saved Disney from being broken apart in the 1980s.

I don't know who it was that stated you all hating Eisner whether it was Roy Disney or someone on a forum years ago but that's no reason to start hating someone. I don't see a thing that Eisner did to deserve the hate and now the company is worse without him and doesn't do much if anything Disney.

So, you're not mad at me, because I'm obsessed of Mickey Mouse? I mean, I'm trying to be patient as I can.

I don't hate the man because I don't know him but he was pretty much destroying the company in the final years of his tenure. He cost Disney millions and millions of dollars when he hired his friend Michael Ovitz as president of the company and then fired him little than a year later (during which time he constantly undermined Ovitz and tried to force him to quit), he fell out with and and then forced Jeffrey Katzenberg out of the company and then refused to pay Katzenberg the money he was contractually owed (Katzenberg would later sue the company and settle for around a quarter of a billion dollars), Eisner purged the Disney Board of Directors of anyone who agreed with Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold and in turn filled the Board with yes men like George Mitchell, he alienated Steve Jobs and John Lasseter and pretty much obliterated the relationship between Disney and Pixar until Bob Iger later salvaged it, he closed down entire animation studios and laid off hundreds of employees when they dared to side with the Save Disney campaign, he was paying himself industry-record annual salaries while Disney films were under-performing. Those are just things off the top of my head.
Read Disney War (which Eisner was involved in and contributed to) and you will get a pretty good idea of why it was a good thing that he was ousted when he was. Eisner was great up until Frank Wells died, then the power went to his head and he began to treat the company as his own personal kingdom.

Disney War is not dribble, Eisner was involved with it from the outset and contributed a lot to it. All of the things I referenced are not dribble, it's backed up by Eisner himself, court documents and accounts of others involved. A CEO has a duty to the shareholders, Eisner failed in that duty which is why so many people voted for him to be removed. The "angry mob" mentality came from the fact that Comcast were circling and looking to buy The Walt Disney Company, mainly because it had become so destabilised in the final years of Eisner's tenure. Iger's not perfect but as he was Eisner's lieutenant he has been smart enough to avoid doing pretty much everything Eisner did that led to him being ousted. Eisner wasn't terrible but it was the right time for him to leave and in 2015 (perhaps earlier) Iger will leave too with the company on a much sounder footing than when he became CEO.
TsWade wrote:Excuse me everyone, but we're getting off topic.
Sorry. Just to add a tiny thing on the topic of Mickey Mouse, Eisner did once seriously consider going by Mickey Eisner because he thought it might help him connect more with Disney fans.
