And congratulations to all other winners and nominees, you're all amazing. Special shout-out to enigmawing for all of her wins, they're all well deserved!

SHJ, thanks for the great ceremony, I cracked up at some of the comments. I hope you do this again next year.

Thanks to those who nominated me.

First of all, I just want to give a HUGE congratulations to all the winners and nominees! You are all examples of what makes our forum such a wonderful place to be!

Second, another HUGE thank you to SpringHeelJack for hosting the ceremony! I personally don't know how much of an undertaking it is, but I'm sure it's no easy feat!

Lastly, I am very proud to accept the Jiminy Cricket Spirit Award. I was completely caught off guard by this! In fact, I was randomly checking into the forum during a class I was a Teacher's Aide in (not something I was supposed to be doing btw, haha), when I saw that I had gotten the award. Being completely honest it actually moved me to a tear or two. I'm used to not being nominated for things or listed as a favorite member and so on because I'm not as much of an avid poster. I think the longest I've gone without reading or checking up on the forum has only been 3 or 4 days since I joined Feb 9, 2005, but since I maybe post something once for every 10 times I check in many of you don't know me personally so I've come to accept that I'm not typically among the first, in any, of the people that comes to mind when you think of the forum. That's why receiving this award is legitimately something special to me. This kinda proves to myself that my presence is noticed on the board and that I've made a good impression. It's a huge Sally Field "You like me! You really like me!" moment for me!

So thank you SpringHeelJack for remembering that I'm here, and thank you to the UD community as a whole for being who you are.

I was expecting the awards ceremony to be a dull read, but I actually had a blast. Congratulations to everyone who won, and thank you to those who wrote speeches (I particularly enjoyed yours, Umbrellafish)! You pulled it off, SpringHeelJack.
