Can anyone find the cover art on that russian sight? It looks awesome, and it's an image I've never seen before.

Looks like it was made from a clip art image that appeared when the film was first released. This is the only version I can find at the moment, but I remember having a sheet of stickers that included it:

I wish there was some site that compiled all these international covers. I know there was some French cover for a Pocahontas release where the color was basically white except for the outline of some leaves in the wind that showed Pocahontas' face. Very beautiful.

Thanks enigmawing!!! It definitely that clip art (which I love), but set into a dreamcatcher or something. Whatever it is, I really like it! That or the French cover would be a dream come true for this new blu release. Really, I'd prefer anything over the fish-face Pocahontas we got for the 10th Anniversary cover.

I couldn't find the cover you posted here (the white, French one) on that website. I meant more of a compilation of the DVD/Blu-Ray covers, etc. rather than promotional stuff. I hadn't thought of that-that would be SO TERRIBLE! This is one of my favorite Disney movies(it actually may be my #1), I would be devestated if Disney decided to cheapen it in that way like they did with Fox and the Hound. The 2005 release of Pocohantas was almost perfect-hopefully they keep all of those bonus features on this new release.PatrickvD wrote:It better not be accompanied by Pocahontas 2.

Releasing the movie with the sequel is the least of my concerns, really. My REAL concern is if Disney will actually place some worthwhile bonus features (a ton of old and new features) onto the Blu-ray or if they'll just be half-assed about it.

I'm holding on to my 10th Anniversary DVD anyway. I'll be happy to have the film in HD, and just consider this release as in addition to that one. I'm already preparing myself for them to pull a "Fox and the Hound" 2 movie collection stunt here. Le sigh.

Wasn't there a 3rd Pocahontas as well? Or no? I never saw them (nor do I intend to) so I wouldn't know.

so, i wonder when we'll start seeing some real confirmation about all these releases that are supposed to be coming in 2012. I'm trying not to get too excited until then.

Agreed. I'm still waiting for a real confirmation from Disney before I get too excited. Especially after the issue we had with Dumbo.
