TSoD: As far as I know there hasn't been any Season 1 or 2 dvd releases. A much later season has been released though.
Also, I'm going to hop onto the Digimon bandwagon, it's pretty awesome.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I stopped watching once the tamers started evolving with their Digimon. Plus, I think they stopped being aired in the US (though I could be wrong).

Season 3 was when I stopped watching as well. It had some good aspects, but 1 and 2 were significantly better (Even if I hated 2's leader. You really don't want to get me started on him

) I couldn't get past
Digimon existing as it does for us. That's probably quite narrow minded, but I'm strange about things like that
I think that the reasons
Digimon is much better than
Pokemon apply to all the seasons. The monsters aren't fighting animals, the storylines are continuous, the subject matter is deeper and the style is cooler
On the subject of the worst cartoons, I haven't seen anything as ghastly as that McDonalds video appears to be, but some of the non Disney animated films of the 90's were pretty squalid.
The Nutcracker Prince and
The Pebble & The Penguin take the cake IMO.

I actually I think I stopped watching when season 4 started cause I remember liking Guilmon and Terriermon (and especially Terriermon). It just got weird when the tamers started evolving into Digimon. I was like, "Uh, what's happening here? This is wrong." They should have just gone back to the greatness of the first season.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thought that biomerging was just too weird

I'm surprised that people seem to be put off by the digimon-human digivolutions. I thought merging with digimon and digimon spirits were pretty neat ideas but eh.. We'll save that for the digimon thread.
As for bad cartoons, I'd say Kids Next Door. I don't remember plot as much other than they're spies but I do remember hating it when I was young

THANK... YOU!
I hate Kids Next Door. I know a lot of people love it to death, but I never saw the appeal of it. To me, the problem was that the concept took itself WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too seriously. The first short they made was indeed cute, but the series went too far with it. Moon bases? Conspiracy? A WHOLE EPISODE RIPPING OFF ONE OF THE ANIMATRIX SHORTS?
I know some people might say "But Pap, it's SUPPOSED to be silly and stupid! It is supposed to be a satire of how kids feels that adults are conspiring against them!". Yes, I get it. However, that doesn't change that the show was at times hard to watch. You can tell that this concept limited the writers greatly in terms of character developments. You couldn't have the characters have meaningful relationships with their parents because their parents are the enemy, even though they still live in their house, depend on them for food, so on and so forth.
It didn't work for me. It should have been sillier and not take itself too seriously,

Sometimes I watched this just to see how bad it was. Although the animated Gilbert Gottfried was kinda cool, reminded me a little of Ed Grimly.

Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated.
Horrible reboot of a classic franchise

Oh man I remember this show. The animation was awful... So bad, that they had to digitally move the backgrounds while the characters were on a walking cycle loop.

The Ripping Friends. Good god was this show horrible. There was a similar one but I can't recall it's name....it had to do with disgusting babies and their nanny. Loooots of toilet humor.
Also. I think we need a Digimon thread now since we seem to lack one.

The show you are thinking of is Mega Babies. And yes, that show was horrible beyond belief...

I forgot
Trippin' the Rift.
While the animation may not be as bad, my god, the humor is dry, the plots are just ridiculous, and nothing is good, except for the animation.

Actually, I used to think that it was such a dumb show, back when I was below the age of 10. I started to watch it more growing up, and it started to become interesting. I'm sad that it ended, but I still like the show.

Tripping the Rift was indeed awful. Me and my best friend caught a showing of it on Sci Fi back in 2005, and we turned it off after the third episode. The problem is that it tried too hard to be shocking and edgy, but it ended up being boring and disgusting half the time. It's like if they took Futurama and turned it into Drawn Together in CG.

I think I'll always find biomerging creepy, but I can comprehend the appeal. As you say though; that (along with my thoughts on Daisuke/Davis if anyone is brave enough to start me on him) can wait for our well needed
Digimon thread
As for the worst cartoons I would also add
A Troll in Central Park (can't induce anything other than diabetes and unintentional laughter in someone over the age of five),
We're Back: A Dinosaur Story (what a mindscrew), and
The Swan Princess (caricature of Disney) to the likes of
The Nutcracker Prince and
The Pebble & The Penguin.
On the T.V side of things, I would have to give mention to this list:
The Shnoocums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show - I know it has it's fans, but it never really had any appeal to me.
The Baskervilles - This silly abomination is so obscure that I'm linking to the only page I could find on it.
http://www.alphanim.com/serie/28/synopsis
Detention -
Recess had much more charm.
Mummy Nanny - It involved a long dead Pharoh who went by the name of Whydontyousitdown. Need I say more?

I know these are for "mature audiences" but they're technically cartoons so I'd say South Park and Family Guy are some of the worsts.
I know South Park was that edgy show I used to watch when I was like 9 since it was cartoons where they cussed but that show is awful. I love a crass joke but this show isn't joking, it's pure vulgarity.
Family Guy used to be a favorite of mine because you had to be a movie and a television addict to get the jokes. There was this one comedian who said "When Seth Macfarlene thinks something is funny, he repeats the SHYT out of it!" and boy is that true haha The ongoing jokes aren't funny so that show is just a mess now.
Oh and by the way I made us our digimon thread

Yeah, that show was pretty terrible from what I saw of it (very little, but still).
I would add
The Wacky World of Tex Avery to the list. A terrible use of a great animator's name. I will spare you the theme song.

The funny part was that I found out it was on Hulu the last time I went to that site.

But yeah, the theme song may be funny, but the show itself is a mockery on one of the best cartoonists in America.
