Gypsy and Hello, Dolly! are two of my all time favorite musical theater masterpieces. I would gladly see any production and watch the films anytime!

So she'll be performing Gypsy again in New York next year. I wonder if she'll also be reprising Hello, Dolly! there? Probably just dreaming here, but it's nice to imagine I may be able to go see that.

Interesting that both her children have gone into industries Jodi’s worked in— her daughter for live performance and her son for animation.

And I’m glad you got to have this special moment with your two favorite princesses at D23. Power of the Disney Princess!!

I just found out that Jodi had voiced Barbie before Toy Story 2. Evidently, she had previously voiced her in the video "Dance Workout with Barbie" from 1991. Neat, huh?

I am glad there maybe a Benasaince (awesome word!) and that Jodi is getting a lot of acting work. She really deserves it.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who made the connection of Jodi featuring opposite JoAnna Garcia Swisher AKA Ariel from Once Upon a Time.

This woman looks very good. She's one of these people that look much better right now than some years ago. She looks really natural. I can't wait to see more about her new projects!

I'll watch to see Benson, never heard of the show.

For anyone in the Orlando area, Jodi Benson's going to be at a special D23 screening of The Little Mermaid at AMC Disney Springs next Wednesday, May 28. She'll have a pre-show panel before the film, followed by a screening of the film itself.

My siblings and I are going, and I honestly cannot wait. The Little Mermaid was one of the earliest Disney movies we had on VHS as children, so watching it in the same theatre with Ariel herself will be really special. I've met Jodi a few times in my life, too, so hoping to have a brief moment after the film to just say hi again to her as well.

Ugh! Jodi's passion and humility are just unbearable. I think it's so amazing how all these years later she still remembers this little show that no one saw and still sees that as an essential part of her story.
