 Haha, yup, only seen it in 94.

In the end though, we decided on watching The Great Mouse Detective: Mystery In The Mist Edition and Pocahontas: Musical Masterpiece Edition.

TGMD was great to see again after, like 15 years. Pocahontas will always be one of my favorites, but really hated the fact they changed a couple of lines during Savages, my favorite song of the movie. Does anyone know if this is also done on the other DVD releases?

A little offtopic, I know...sorry...:)

Funny how somebody would use the left one as a cover for the 3rd movie

Why can't Disney create coverart as good as the fans can? I hope 3 doesn't get a Blu-Ray release...I want 2 though.

Are the trailers for TLK & AIW blu-ray up online yet? I would like to see these!

TLK is more than a year away, so I don't think we will see it for a while.

And I don't know when AIW will be out. It just said 2011 right? Kinda vague....

Actually, the trailers should be appearing sooner rather than later. The screencaps that surfaced online for both titles came from the James and the Giant Peach Blu-ray (which I will be getting my review copy of in a couple of days). I have no idea how to rip video from a BD, but if people are anxious enough for these trailers, I could always film them with my camera and at least take extensive screencaps so you can see more of the HD gooness.

I wouldn't mind 2 on Blu-ray either, what are the chances that that will happen..and anytime soon?

I have to admit, they both look absolutely stunning.

Thanks for the info! I seriously can't wait for these to come out on Blu!

Seeing the new LK trailer makes the movie seem new in a whole new way. This is going to be historic!

I'd say that if it does happen at all it will be around the same time as the Lion King. I think we will get it, it was rereleased alongside the Lion King Platinum Edition so I don't see why it won't happen this time.

When you say the trailers are there, do you mean the trailers, or just the screenshots? because I don't see the trailers themselves anywhere on that page.

Edit: ok, so I found it on Youtube but I'll gladly take it somwhere else that has it in a higher quality format.

I swear I just re-watched this movie last year... But I can't remember, did they use the Elton John version or some chorus of... women? That's all I remember.

I think most scenes in this movie feel out-of-place... But with that in mind, I guess it's the stuff that feels in-place that actually doesn't belong. The scenes that feel like they're worthy of being called Disney. Like Scar's "Be Prepared." Yeah, he had someone else doing his voice during the screaming moments (right? Frank Welker...no?) but that sinister music and the excellent, dark, evil animation are really good. A great male version of "Poor Unfortunate Souls." Too bad there was nothing like this in either Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast.

Holy Hell... those are beautiful!

Now I can't get into Blu-Ray for health reasons; I would ruin my eyes!
