I like the idea of fan events at the park! It can be like Comic-Cons but for Disney fans!! How SUPER AWESOME would that be?!?!? I'll go and where my Dale Rescue Ranger costume and people will actually know who I am (some have called me a "reindeer on vacation").
You aren't getting off that easy. YOU have a Dale costume that you wear?
Is this to costume parties, or do you put this on for casual strolls in the park?
How often do you wear this costume, and please post pictures...
Pretty often, he dances around the house in it on the wknds.
It's actually a costume he made for Halloween one year, back in high school...and i've definitely seen him wear it
at least three times. I'm still waiting for Escapay to make an equally cool Chip costume - he has the hat and leather bomber already. He just needs fur and a "chocolate chip" colored nose.
I'm too cheap to buy the fur and nose.
But yes, I do have the hat and leather bomber already.
Jane, you need the purple jumpsuit, oversized wig, and mouse ears and you'll be Gadget. Alls we need is Monterey Jack and Zipper...

Heh, put a fat suit on me, and you've got Fat Cat.
Sing it, now.

No I don't!

I wore it my senior year of high school for Halloween (also the last time I went trick or treating. A lot of adults thought I was Pooh

) and my freshman year of college at a Halloween-Let's Make a Deal like event (below left). My mom helped me sew on yellow felt flowers onto a red polo and the "fur" is just a brown hoodie with brown sweatpants, haha. I made ears for the hood, too, but you can't see them in this picture very well b/c of the superimposed Dale head, haha.
The second picture shows how versatile the shirt is! I used it to dress up as a tacky Asian tourist at an Around the World themed party.
(I've obscured my face to protect my identity in this thread since it's not really a topic I meant to reveal my picture

)

SORRY! That was totally off topic! I apologize to people looking for updates about "Are you 23"! I really have nothing else to say on that topic other than I'll totally dress up as Dale at a Disney 23 Disney fan event if that rumor is true.

Some more ideas I've been bouncing around in my head:
You know Club 33? Maybe they're revealing another paid-member exclusive theme park event/attraction that has to do with the number 23.
Or.... maybe they're starting a new 'classics' line of DVD/Blu-rays that has 23 titles in it.
Or...maybe they're just coming out with a new movie that has something to do with the number 23.

I can't stand it. The suspense is killing me.

Well, according to other sites, Disney has registered the domain names club23disney,com and disneyclub23.com. On top of that, Disney Movie Rewards newsletters have had links to this campaign, and some people who've registered their e-mail address at the 23 website have gotten an e-mail back from the Home Entertainment division. So that may be some sort of exclusive movie club thing. If that's the case, it better be something absolutely amazing for Disney to be marketing it like this (limited releases of every show and film from the early days of Disney Channel?).

I am only 21.....but I will be 22 on March 10th.....2009 So I guess I am a year off
Man My 22nd Birthday is going to be great....Pinocchio Blu Ray comes out....The Batman Anthology on Blu Ray is coming that day as well...and I can't wait to see or hear info on this Are You 23 thing is that Disney is Doing....not to mention Return and Escape from Witch Mountain Dvds and 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas DVDs are releasing that day...
Although my bank account is dreading March even though I can't wait for it...although it will be my first Birthday without my last Remaining Grandpa who died this past Sunday.....

I don't believe this has already been posted. On an ad at Disney World it says, "Are you 23? Find out on March 10th." So apparently it's something we have to find out individualy, which makes a release sound less likely. I dunno.

Some new (and more feasible sounding) rumors about the viral marketing campaign suggest that Disney is starting up something called Club 23. Disneykid found that Disney registered website domains of a similar name, which make this sound more believable to me. While some think this may be the Club33-like area being created in the renovated California Adventure park, the more plausible rumor is that it will be a community for die hard Disney fans. Rumors suggest that there will be membership fees, but that benefits to joining could include exclusive merchandise (possibly DVDs... maybe this is how Song of the South will be released?) and theme park events. I hope this is what its all about.
The reason for the 23 could be because the Disney Studios started in 1923.
And for people wondering why Disney has been attaching the add to emails from home video, the rumors on that are that information about membership will be found inside DVD and Blu-Rays of Pinocchio, being released March 10th, the day the mystery is revealed.

If this is true, I wonder if R1 will finally be able to get box sets of the Platinums again? I can't imagine what kind of special offers they would have that I couldn't get from the DMC and Disney rewards. All in all, i'm excited to find out!

It's a bit of a stretch, but, what if Disney were to buy MGM? Could it be hinted at here, seeing as the only 'big' film MGM has to their name in the near future is Bond 23. Or could Disney be making a move to become the new distributor of the Bond series (probably using it to relaunch Touchstone)? I know it seems stupid to suggest, but other than Disney (and Pixar), I'm a huge 007 fan.
But its probably something to do with the studios founding, maybe they could be about to announce something involving the studios anniversary date. Maybe a new office at #23 on some street in Burbank? Maybe starting to prepare for the studios 90th anniversary, and eventually the 100th, with a really huge project. Or it might be something else and it'll hit us from left field.

Yeah, I doubt that.
I have a feeling we're setting ourselves up for a disappointment. Maybe we should all step back and lower our expectations, just so no one's whining come the big reveal.
