Hey. I dont post at UD too much more recently, I have just been so busy, but this is one thread I really enjoy, so I'll continue on. :) My wallpaper is usually about 230 images that go in a rotation changing every 5 seconds from friends, to shows, to guys, to anything I like. But since Im home, to avoid awkward conversations, I use my pic we took at Disneyland this XMas. :)

OK, so I used to have a 4:3 monitor and I had this old Commander Keen collage I stole off a random website:

http://fc08.deviantart.com/fs20/f/2007/ ... center.png

I know, I had WAYYYYY too many icons. If anyone wants the pic, I have it without the icons. I seriously can't find that anymore... if anyone knows the author or website it came from, that would help, as I had it saved in My Pictures for quite some time

Now that I have a widescreen monitor, I have a pretty cool 3D one from DigitalBlasphemy:

I just spent the past few hours making a background for my desktop...the bottom isn't as good as I wanted it to be (I hadn't realized that the top row wasn't at the top of the Paint window, so I had to, for example, put Bolt & Mittens over Kida, Milo, & Audrey, since I didn't think I had anymore room, but I did have room...). Anyhoo, at least I have room to add more characters when new movies come out (and when I find a Rhino clip art). I condensed my icons into folders, so at the bottom of my screen, the only icons are of the recycle bin & 2 folders (which aren't shown in the picture). I got all the pictures from www.disneyclips.com , by the way. It's a great site with tons of clip art!

I love your wallpaper, Amy, it is a great idea. Great find of the clipart site too. I browsed through it, and I picked out images for my new banner and avatar.

This isn't my main desktop, but I thought I'd post it anyway. This is the Windows 7 Beta running in Virtual PC 2007. The menu bar at the top and bottom are not part of Windows 7, its just the window for Virtual Machine running on my Vista desktop.

So far 7 is ok. Its hard to judge it compared to Vista on a Virtual PC rather than actually installing it since it emulates a PC and doesn't use your exact hardware drivers, etc... It seems stable, but I'm not sure I like the new taskbar. Maybe it will grow on me. For people that prefer to switch XP and Vista to Classic mode and make it look like 98/2000 this option is gone in 7. Not sure if it will be added back or not.

It should be a good Windows upgrade whenever its released (supposed to be end of 2009/early 2010). Its surprising how stable it is for a Beta, although it feels more like Vista Second Edition than a completely new operating system...

If anyone wants to check it out its available from Microsoft right now for about another week for free. Keep in mind its a beta, and everything might not work. It expires on July 1, 2009. No word if another beta/release candidate will replace it or that will be it for Windows 7 until its released. The file sizes are also pretty big. The 32 bit version is 2.43 GB, and the 64 bit version is 3.15 GB.

Its a beta fish...

That's the wallpaper that comes up as the "default" when you first boot Windows 7 Beta. Microsoft tried to make a joke I guess. :)

I like it. Its a nice wallpaper, and a change from all the landscape pictures that Microsoft usually includes (there are some of those in Windows 7 too).

That's really pretty, Leonia!

And off-topic, but you (more so your username, lol) was in my dream yesterday. "Leonia" (not you but someone with your username) hacked into my UD and email accounts, and she was mean, and she was trying to be a model or something, but she was just rude. I was thrilled when I woke up and realized that it was just a dream. I thought I'd let you know! :)

I second that! It's aurora borealis, right?

Here's my desktop. I've grown a liking to using really cool Fan Art from DeviantArt as my desktop. I can't for the life of me remember who I got this one from, though. I also made my desktop Stitch do his techno dance before I took the screencap!
