Where I can, I intend to purchase all three Treasure volumes at a store (Best Buy, Walmart, Target...) so as to be able to select items that are dent-free, or as minimally dented as possible.
If one of these volumes fails to be in stock, then I'll look shop online, hoping I don't received a dented product in the mail.

Maybe they don't shop online?
Either that or they're greatly outnumbered online by new generation Disney fans generally unaware of pre-2000 Disney material that doesn't have "Animated Classic" in its name.

To say that Annette was the original Miley Cyrus is an insult to Annette. Think of Raven and Miley as Annette 2.0s. The unnecessary upgrade that appeals more to new users.

Some Disney movies, along with a bunch of non-Disney movies that always seemed to have the word "beach" or "party" in them. Stuff that you could only really have enjoyed if you either lived in that era or if you're a huge fan of the era that you enjoy it even if it's not as good as you thought they'd be.

Annette was the ideal "girl next door" celebrity of her generation and an icon of the Walt Disney era (legend has it that Walt personally chose her for the Mickey Mouse Club after a Burbank dance recital and then took special interest in her career).
After becoming the breakout star of The Mickey Mouse Club, Annette had many top 40 radio hits ("Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess" were her biggest). She was the first pop star to heavily use a triple-voice/echo-chamber effect (invented by Disneyland Records creative director Tutti Camarata to assist her vocals) - - which became known as the "Annette Sound." She made more than a dozen solo albums for Disneyland/Buena Vista (including themed novelty LPs like "Hawaiiannette" "Italiannette" and "DanceAnnette").
When the MMC was cancelled, Annette remained under contract to Disney for nearly a decade and appeared at Disneyland and on TV in "Make Room for Daddy/The Danny Thomas Show," "Zorro" and "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color."
Annette became a movie star with the major Walt Disney films "The Shaggy Dog" and "Babes in Toyland" - - as well as "The Misadventures of Merlin Jones," "The Monkeys Uncle," "The Horsemasters" and "Escapade in Florence," often paired with Disney star Tommy Kirk. Then, while still under contract for Disney, she was loaned out to American International which specialized in teen-oriented drive-in movies and hit the big-time again with a series of surf-craze musicals co-starring teen idol Frankie Avalon: "Beach Party" "Muscle Beach Party" "Bikini Beach" "Pajama Party" "Beach Blanket Bingo" "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini" and others.
And Disney did merchandise Annette too - - there were paper dolls, mystery novels, coloring books, games, toys, etc.
Annette was - - and still is - - a big deal to the baby-boom generation, as a symbol of the times. At Disney, only Hayley Mills challenged her popularity as the studio's biggest home-grown star.
>>Wonder where all the MMC fans are!?!?! The sales of the Annette volume are ALOT lower on the Amazon Sales tracker then the other two volumes.<<
The other two volumes were announced nearly a year ago - - and Annette's volume was only revealed less than a couple of months ago. Since Disney hasn't done any promotion of note for these releases since, I imagine most people who care about Annette in the general public don't yet know this is coming out.
Bravo to Disney for giving Annette her due! MGM/UA did well with their "Frankie and Annette Beach Party" box set last year - - and "The Monkey's Uncle" looks like a hit for the Disney Movie Club (should still be released to the public) - - I hope that means "The Horsemasters" and "Escapade in Florence" are also on the way from Disney! And a remastered special edition of "Babes in Toyland" with all the nice extras that exist for that title, would be delightful.

LOL....you may be right! I hope the volume sells well because Id like to see some more Spin and Marty.
But yea Annette is awsome. Im 28 and am a huge fan! They still played alot of her work as well as the MMC on the Disney Channel when I was growing up so, I in a way grew up with her a tiny bit like the baby boomers did.
As far as her music I like her beach albums the best I think. Some of her earlier songs that were released on 45 like Teenage Wedding and Dreamin about You (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snsd8ctqHJc ) are awsome too! I think the beach movies are fun. They are like a musical with 1960s style music with the stupid crazy "trendy" humor that you find in alot of todays teen movies. Even today Annette and Frankie are still the king and queen of the beach. Nobody has been able to throw them of that title! Annette and Frankie sang alot of songs together during the beach years but this one is my favorite!

Surely that depends more on how well Vol 1 of Spin and Marty sold? And the figures will already be in for that.

Well, it makes some sense to consider both, as the second and third Spin & Marty serials also star Annette, Darlene and Moochie - - which makes them even better!

Someone posted Annette's great "Dream Boy" number from "Escapade in Florence" (never to date on DVD...) on YouTube:
