Irene Bedard ~ Pocahontas
Jodi Benson ~ Ariel
Carolyn Gardner ~ Snow White
Jennifer Hale ~ Cinderella
Linda Larkin ~ Jasmine
Ming Na ~ Mulan
Paige O´Hara ~ Belle
Tara Strong ~ Melody
Hynden Walch ~ Alice
So I'm afraid that even not sounding like 10 years ago, Pocahontas still has her original voice.
Very interesting! Thank you for that. I also keep record of the voices, but I missed that one. Thanks! I can't believe that it was Irene Bedard, she sounded nothing like she did in the film. In all honesty though, if it is Pocahontas' original voice then I don't have an issue if Disney continues to use her.
It looks like everyone you quoted above are the voices on the new Princess web site.
In my opinion, it's time for Disney to re-cast the princesses. I think they need to go on a nation wide search and get voices that are true to the original films. Jennifer Hale does a wonderful job portraying Cinderella and Aurora. My favorite Snow White voice is Melissa Disney. She makes the voice "smooth", and easy to listen to. No matter how much I adore Jodi Benson, she has aged and so has her voice. She still has that "Ariel Quality" though. I hope she continues to provide Ariel's voice. Paige O' Hara on the other hand has aged and her voice as added 40 years to Belle. Susan Egan should be Belle's official voice. Unfortunately Susan Egan only provides Belle's singing voice on the new princess CD's.

I'm not entirely sure. I don't think she is, but on the other hand "Disney" is not a popular last name. If she was related to the Walt Disney family, she would have at least written about it in her biography. You can find out out more information about her on her web site:

Only five princesses have games one or two games what gives? They should have all the games running before they launched the site.

We all tried to discover (as Disney refuses to tell us outright) exactly who voiced all the Princesses, in their new incarnations. Hope it makes an interesting read for you.

I want to say Melissa Disney is a cousin, or a extended relative. I'm pretty sure she's apart of the Walt Disney family, however, but I'm not sure.
I have an account on Disney.com, and I'm pretty sure it's says Prince Keith whenever I log onto there.
Interesting site and example of new CGI animation

The new Princess site's quite lavish compared to the old one, and while Pocahontas and Aurora _seem_ a little off model, the others are cute, with (to these old eyes) Belle the standout (her large eyes are magnetic).
As of this date (5/6/09), Mulan, Jasmine, and Pocahontas are not animated and nothing is on their sites.
There's secondary animation (Belle's brushing hair strand, Cindy/Belle pulling skirts, etc), but sequences are constantly reused within the character's actions (they clasp their hands constantly), and most animations are shared by all the princesses (clasp their hands, gesture with their forefingers, bounce up and down, etc.). Their facial profiles are locked (heads never turn, etc.). The timing does vary per Princess, with Ariel seeming the most lively and Cinderella the slowest. I suspect Toon Boom or possibly Flash was used for their animation.
On a 1.8 ghz G4 mac, with a 1 gigabit DSL connection, the browsers Firefox and Safari are very sluggish with site updates.
Interesting...
Will revisit a few months from now to see what changes!

The website has been updated. Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog is now at the center of all the princesses. Her game isn't active yet, but you can see her world and hear some score from the upcoming film.

I just love how Tiana, the first African American princess, is at the center of the lineup. I also like how her dress is both the most beautiful and the most elaborate out of all the dresses in the princess lineup.
I think the song that plays at Tiana's page might me "Dreams come true on New Orleans", the main theme of the movie.

I just checked the website and Pocahontas has gone live now.
Click here to visit the site and play her introductory game.
Her voice is the worst of the bunch. She sounds nothing like Pocahontas. I'm curious when Tiana will go live. My local Target already sells a doll of her in a bundle with the other princesses.

Does Tammi Tappan Damiano still do the singing for Cinderella?

Whatever happened to Cinderella's Enchanted Tales episode?
I'm all mad and sad about its cancellation because I didn't get my grand finale.

As there hasnt been any new singing material from Cinderella, I guess we just wont know, until we get the 'music video' on the Enchanted Tales Special Edition.
But I don't see why they would have dropped her; to my mind, she was perfect.
Pocahontas isnt animated for me ... she doesnt move or say anything !

They just released "Disney Princess Party CD" this summer and Tami Tappan Damiano is still doing Cinderella's voice.
This CD is a Disney Store exclusive:

That's great to know. I think her singing melds perfectly with Jennifer Hale's speaking voice; so much so that it's really hard to tell where one starts and the other leaves.

IF Epic Mickey is approved by Disney and made a reality I am sure we will see twisted princesses (though in a steampunk manner, not like the fan art).
