It's quite true. I can take maybe one good picture of myself post-haircut looking awesome (see avatar), and then, um, one from Halloween, looking like a scraggy homeless person, dressed in black with drawn-on eyebrows. Basically, I used that pic because 1) I was alone and 2) I didn't look like a total skeeze or drunk, just 70% of one.Escapay wrote:Is it just me or does Brendan look like two completely different people when you compare his avatar picture (pink letters notwithstanding) to his siggy picture? It's like when you see separate pictures of Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen and takes you awhile to remember that they're actually brothers.

It's way more amusing, just "watching", kinda like Statler and Waldorf, but without the not-so nice commentssotiris2006 wrote:"He's such a good boy" - Brendan's mom![]()
I love it!
I'm also loving that everyone here (in this thread) is full of pre-election spiritDon't you just bask in the smell of ruthless competition?

Although I'm wondering why not so many people that are frequent posters haven't made their presence known in this thread to support the awards.![]()
I'm a rather frequent poster, that could be nominated for the Super Sophomore award, and perhaps a couple of the other ones as well. However, I don't plan to do any campaigning for the awards. I think the awards should be based on the last year, as a whole, not just the last couple weeks. It would be nice, and fun, to be nominated for some of the awards, or even to win one. I am hoping people will remember my contributions over this past year when they nominate and vote. However, I am enjoying seeing everyone's signatures, avatars, or even campaign posters, they are rather creative.sotiris2006 wrote: Although I'm wondering why not so many people that are frequent posters haven't made their presence known in this thread to support the awards.![]()
I've seen that! On my first viewing I laughed so hard I almost needed hospitalisation afterwards. Incidentally the Kathy Bates scene is one of my favourites (especially the one with the car tumbling down the hill with the signs reading "YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A SQUIRREL!"Escapee wrote:BTW, Jules, your avatar reminds us (the long-absent Kram and I) of the scene in Rat Race where Kathy Bates' character is trying to sell squirrels to Whoopi Goldberg. Rent the movie, it's awesome.
I quite agree on what you have said but i did not suggest campaigning means supporting the awards. I was just commenting on the lack of posts on this thread considering it is a huge event here on UD. It would be nice if more users could leave a comment not necessarily campaigning to just show that members do care about this.Simba3 wrote:sotiris2006 wrote: Although I'm wondering why not so many people that are frequent posters haven't made their presence known in this thread to support the awards.
Yes, the modesty approach. I smell a strategySimba3 wrote:I'm a rather frequent poster, that could be nominated for the Super Sophomore award, and perhaps a couple of the other ones as well.j/k

Oh ok, I get what you mean. In that case, I agree with you. I think the Forum Awards are a lot of fun. Some people don't seem to care for them, but I think it is just something fun to do. I hope the awards are fun this year and we have a lot of members participating in them.sotiris2006 wrote:I quite agree on what you have said but i did not suggest campaigning means supporting the awards.
