I don't let anyone touch or barrow them.
When people ask me to barrow them I say would you let me barrow your kids. I'm very protective of my DVDs

I have no problem lending out my DVDs. I think a movie are made to view and enjoy and if I lend out mine to friends they save money and have great fun watching them.

But there are movies that I do not lend out. I have some singed DVDs that I wouldent think of letting out of my sight, and then there are the oop titles and the Disney limited tins.

My DVDs only cross my house's door if the owner goes with them!
And no one get near them! Specially the slipcovers...

I take the slip covers off and put them away. But, I don't let anyone touch my DVDs anyway. I would never let anyone borrow one either. The way my "friends" are they don't take care of anything or have any regard for anything if its not there's! They have even actually thrown CD's of mine away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

same here! I was so excited to get a special keepsake box even though I wasn't planning on buying the B&B "trilogy". I waited and waited and waited and then that same notice and check for $1.99 came and ...grr....

I'm too afraid to peel the stickers off the Alice slipcase. I don't want it to end up sticky like my Sleeping Beauty one.

Other than that, I handle my DVDs very gently. I own some pretty rare (well, rare in my definition) DVDs and I definitely don't want them to be ruined!

Well you know how much trouble I go to just to get a slipcover! But I just leave mine on so they match on the shelf. And since there's no kids with grubby little hands running around at our place ... they're in fairly good condition.

Otherwise its 'No touchy! No touch!'

I lend most of my DVDs out, but exceptions are made based on the DVD or the borrower, lol.

My sentimonies exactly.

All of my slipcovers remain with their DVDs. If I started separating things out, then they would be lost in the abyss forever. Plus they look really good on a shelf, and what other reason is there for buying DVDs?

And nobody goes near my DVDs without a special contamination suit either.

And to obtain said suit, one must join the Loomis DVD Viewing Library. To do this, you must have three forms of I.D. - and they have to show your address, signature and photo.

After that, there is a simple background check, followed by a urine sample, blood test and physical.

Then, in 7-14 working days, you will receive your card

Viewing is by appointment only. No touching. Fines may apply.

I keep them on. Because I am very careful with my DVD'S. And nobody not nobody borrows my DVD'S. I don't even let anybody touch them except for myself. I have a lot of rare DVD'S that are worth a lot of money to. like I have Happiest Millionaire in the Rare Old Anchor Bay DVD Release!

My covers stay on my DVDs, and so far, I've had no problems.

My covers stay on my dvds also. But some of them are starting to get wear So I'm doing my best to keep them in tip top shape. I never let anyone barrow them!

Once again, the inital post in this thread has been updated (03/21/2004.) With so many threads popping up about slipcovers lately, I advise everyone to use the search engine to find this thread first if they have a slipcovers question. I try to keep this list current and chances are the question is answered here.

Yeah it's a bummer Brother Bear doesn't have a slipcover. The other day I opened a couple boxes of Brother Bear drop shipments here at the Disney Store to get a sneak peak at the covers - and man I was shocked that they didn't have them. Always thought of them (just like the thick cases) as a way to signal a 2-disc edition from just a regular, ol' Disney dvd.

The slipcovers are cool...the only problem is that they scratch and tear too easily. I search through a dozen or so of the slipcover dvds at the store just to make sure I get the best one

Does anyone have the Pirates slipcover and they're willing to sell it to a good home?

I know some people really don't care about the cases. I have friends who throw them away!

I know it's a long shot though, because most people who come to this thread really care about the slipcovers!

yea this means that future dvds like Aladdin and Lion King 2 might not get slipcovers too

This is such a shock Brother Bear is a Special Edition so it should have a slipcover what's next no insert.

I hope Aladdin and Lion King 2 do have slipcovers because they are more popular then Brother Bear. Who knows Aladdin and Lion King 2 might have slipcovers.

Im mad why?! they must have brother bear with a slip cover All disney movies should have a slip cover!
