I was hoping that the Circuit City weekly flier meant that the Special Edition was $6.99, since this version was supposed to be in the Vault. But, apparently not. Still, it was a good price. It is fullscreen, though...I couldn't find the DVD with the other films, so I asked a worker, and she brought it back and said that it was the last one. This was one of 2 movies that I really, really wanted, so I'm glad I have it on DVD now.

From Amazon Marketplace -

Michael Clayton (Blu-Ray) $19.95

In The Valley of Elah (Blu-Ray) $18.45

These are my second and third Blu-Ray discs (not including the ones I had a year ago which I sold). My first and second discs were Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest ($19.95 used at F.Y.E.) and Full Metal Jacket ($10.95 used at F.Y.E., the disc and case were in pratically mint condition, quite a steal if you ask me).

Cheers,

I just received "One Piece - The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta (Movie No. 8)" to review for Amazon.com. It'll be my first experience in the "One Piece" universe. Very little idea what to expect.

Also, I finally bought 101 Dalmatians Platinum Edition today. I hated to pay 19.99 for it, but I didn't have the money till this week. I ended up buying it at Wal-Mart. At least I was able to get the bonus CD there since it was the same price with or without it today, 19.99. Though, I really don't have much interest in the CD. I tend to think the Wal-Mart 2 packs of this nature suck, and I can't believe they charge more to get the dvd with their crappy "bonus" when you can get free bonuses at other places that are sometimes better, like the plushies at Best Buy. Oh well.

I also just placed an order with DisneyMovieRewards.com for the DVD of "The Horse Without a Head". Wanted to find out a bit more about the movie before ordering it, because I don't remember ever sitting and watching that one, but it's not even on IMDB.com. I just went ahead and ordered it anyway, but I'm down to 25 points again, ha. It would be nice to be able to order something big, but they have too many Disney Movie Club DVDs I want and it takes me forever just to get enough points for them.

I ordered D2: The Mighty Ducks and Remember the Titans yesterday (RtT is the original widescreen DVD, I believe). I used to have both on VHS, and they're 2 of my favorite Disney live-action films. I ordered them through the UD Amazon link, so I hope it went through!

I've not done this for a while, but I'm so excited about this purchase, I just have to list it:

HIPPIES
Image
Simon Pegg in one of his earliest roles and the always delightful Sally Phillips in a sit-com created by both of the Father Ted writers and written by one of them (Arthur Matthews). What could be better?

Actually, quite a lot. Hippies is somewhat variable. But when it's good, it's laugh out loud, split your sides funny.
