Maerj wrote:Okay....watch whatever you like Ms. Poco Dearest. Its just most ministers seem to preach AGAINST films like that, thus my surprise. Sorry to have offended you, I guess.

Maerj,
You didn't offend me. I hope I haven't offended you. Sometimes I have to just "challenge" people's thinking or beliefs...
It might also be useful to know that I am preparing something to challenge others and I am using something out of these movies. (concept of being faithful during raging hormones) I can't really comment on a movie if I haven't seen it, now can't I?

Also, i tend to watch something over and over again over several days. It would be a waste of my money to have to re-rent each of these movies over the course of a few weeks.

Oh we're okay Ms. Poco... as I said in my first post there, I wasn't trying to offend you or goof on you or anything, I was just aware of your Reverendship and wanted to make sure that you knew what you were getting into. I know many church folks (non-ministers) who wouldn't watch an R-rated movie at all, let alone an unrated teenage sex comedy, but Southern Pennsylvania is like a mini-bible belt so what do I know?

Alice in Wonderland (yay!) and Pokemon Heroes (sorry) arrived this morning.
The UK Belleville Rendez-Vous (aka Les Triplettes De Belleville) is in the post and should arrive on Monday. I missed the UK television showing of the film at Christmas, so I am looking forward to seeing the film at last.

I got a whole bunch of stuff in the post yesterday (and this week):
- Once Upon a Time in Mexico
- Dumbo: 60th Anniversary
- Pooh Valentine's thingy
(and some records and CDs as well).
I went and bought 'Manhattan Murder Mystery' at the shops last night, and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas earlier in the week.
My Looney Tunes box set has also just shipped off, so I look forward to finally seeing that....

Just got
Alice in Wonderland at Best Buy for $17.99 (price matched to Circuit City). I'll wait to watch it till tonight so I can see it in complete darkness.
On a side note, I have to say that I found this awesome deal at Costco today. It's this box set of 10 CDs called "The Ten Greatest Composers", and it has works by Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Handel, Brahms, Schubert, Haydn, and Chopin. Guess how much it was? $15.99!!!! At that price, I half expected it to be midi music renditions, but sure enough it is orchestra conducted by various symphonies. There's lots of great music on here.

Sounds like you're in for hours and hours of enjoyment.
I was supposed to be going to Wal-Mart tonight to get the Alice Masterpiece Edition but I doubt my dad's going to take me. Oh well.

Woohoo, I ended up going to Wal-Mart after all! It wasn't until 11:30 but I
did go, and that's the important part.

And they were selling it for $14.88 too, how cool is that?

Finally got Dinotopia the Series!!!!!!!!! Couldn't find it anywhere, then went to Sam The Record Man (it was the 6th place I went to) and found it for $42. Not exactly a deal, but the only place I could find it.
But I regret not picking up Sleeping Beauty. It was only $21, and had no slipcase, but still...
