i have to much faith in burton, i don't think he will fall into pop culture to drive this movie.
anna sophia robb is still no good choice to me, though she's already worked for him once so may be it will happen.
i want an unknown actress to play her.

so far tim burton remakes have been atrocious..just fun in the hype, seasonal movies that doesnt make a lasting impression and not memorable. look at planet of the apes and charlie and the chocolate factory.despite the technological advances theyre no better than disney channel stars crooning classic monaural disney songs. howver, im all pumped up for sweeney todd! :D :D

Mike Myers could play Quinn (March Hare) the girl who plays Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter 5 could defintly pull off Alice, since she is british, Robin Willaims might fill Ed Wynn's shoes as Job (the Mad Hatter) while Jim Carrey or Cedric The Entertainer or a suitable comedian could portray Cheshire Cat

Since when are the March Hare and Mad Hatter named Job or Quinn?..

I just like attaching names to officaly named characters like Tramp is fine for me, but characters like Tic Toc the croc, deserve real names.

This is fantastic news! Alice In Wonderland is the perfect film for Tim Burton. This is going to be a wonderful film. I am so excited for this. But I wonder will Burton use Disney's Alice and the characters from the Disney classic in this new film, or will he create all new looking characters? I could not imagine Disney having two totally different looking Alice's.

Well, in terms of real names, I prefer to call them Reggie and Ears, myself. :D (Only people who've read When Curiosity Met Insanity will understand that).

oooh I like the neame Reggie for Mad Hatter, as for Ears, March Hare, I'd go with Dennis or Marcus

I am so excited for this you have no idea!!

I, in fact, don't really like Alice in Wonderland because I find Alice kind of annoying (don't stone me!). However, with Tim Burton directing it and giving it a creepy twist....I'm sure it will be fabulous.

Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter?

i wouldn't be at all surprised.
if depp doesn't get a part in this, it's like.. the first non-johnny depp starring tim burton film since.. big fish?

i bet helena bonham carter will get a part.
perhaps even the role of alice.
i mean, nobody ever said alice had to be played by a little girl.

i'm almost 100% sure carter will have a role in both this and frankenweenie.
there hasn't been a single tim burton film not starring her since..
was she in planet of the apes? i never saw that. looked stupid.
but yeah. considering him and her are married and all.

Yeah, she was in that. I actually think Burton will cast her as the Queen of Hearts. I'm pretty sure he'll approach this similarly to how he did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: be faithful to the book and its characters, but add his own style and quirk over all of it. I'll be shocked if he doesn't use a little British girl as Alice.

Yes, seeing her as a villain in the last HP flick, I would say she's make a great Queen of Hearts.

Oh, but let's hope he doesn't alter the ending and add some totally new, random storyline, like give one of the characters a troubled past, like the Mad Hatter's father never let him wear hats...

Unless, was Willy's father really a dentist who never let him have chocolate?! And did he really follow Charlie around when he didn't want to stay at the factory? Come on, I'm pretty sure that weird stalking part was new...

No Disney Duster,we'll find out that when The Queen Of Hearts was a sad little girls that her father didn't let her kill people and didn't bought her the teddy bear she allways wanted so she became an insane sad woman who wants to kill people and Alice will help her find her dad... until the queen will order to off with his head.
