There have been so many times where I have thought of purchasing multiple copies of DVDs when they are first released and then saving them for a couple of years and selling them online when they are out of print, because people (like myself) will pay good money for OOP movies. But alas, I never do it...

Just thought I'd better comment here, so people don't think I've been locked in the basement. I've just been lurking more though.
Anyway, in the last week I've watched The Little Mermaid twice and thought it was a great movie. I'm not sure if I've seen it before, I might have because before I bought Beauty and the Beast, I had seen it (BatB) on video when it first came out, but couldn't remember much in of it in 2002 (even though I considered it the best thing I'd ever seen), so it could be the same with The Little Mermaid.
I have no idea how a small fish can move a statue made of stone, but that doesn't matter, he probably got a forklift

. It was funny how she was taking advice from a bird on human objects. It was also interesting watching an animated character, which couldn't talk, but only use body language. It was like she was a different person/mermaid, but still herself.
The Little Mermaid III looks interesting, I haven't see the second movie yet though, so I'm not sure what has happened up to this point.
I've watched a few things on the second disc like the Little Match Girl and the making of, which were both interesting.
I was going to rent this DVD set, but when I found no video rental shops had it, just decided to buy it, glad I did.

What's wrong with Disney? They're unfair!
Never mind that. You'll get your copy anyway.

My 2-disc DVD has arrived today!!!!!!!! from amazon.com
In Spain, it comes October 25th, and I'm going to buy it too for Christmas, because it comes with a different cover art (same as UK) and with only one disc.

Woohoo, finally got around to writing my Amazon.com review for Little Mermaid Platinum Edition. Hope it moves up to the spotlight area like my Pocahontas and Bambi 2 reviews did. My other Disney reviews haven't done as well. Well, some of 'em have.
Here's a bit of fan art I did for "The Little Match Girl." More of my work is in the "slave2moonlight's Fan Art" forum in "Off Topic."

Phew! We thought you were keeping Jack company!

Which brings us to the question of how does a forklift work underwater?
Still haven't watched the discs and it's been two weeks. Honestly, it's not a priority for me, and I only bought it during first-day because of the sale price (though of course, I later saw it $2 cheaper at Wal-Mart...

).

Nah. It's more fun having it and not watching it to the disdain of the rabid TLM lovers who feel it's the best movie in the world and that everyone should own a copy and watch it 12 times a day without breaks, then watch it in their sleep.

By no means do I watch this movie 12 times a day. I probably watch it MAYBE once a week, if at all.
I just thought, "hm, he's a disney fan and hasnt watched the latest PE yet? strange."
And my previous comment was a playful one.

Well, I'm sure somewhere would sell underwater forklifts, he probably just had to hunt for one.

Well, I've had the Sound of Music for over half a year and still haven't watched the second disc, not even to make sure it works.

Escapay is a Little Mermaid hater! He's jealous of all the love we have for
The Little Mermaid! I say we all swim over to Escapay's house, drag him down, under the sea, to Ursula, where she can turn him into part of her "garden". Let's get him!

Germany gets just the same 1-Disc Edition as Spain and the others do. It so sucks!! But because of the new dubbing I'm not going to buy it anyway.

We get the Aerican cover though.
