Favorite movie series: Star Wars, with Empire being my favorite so far
Lord of the Rings is either a close second or equal. I'm waiting to see the Extended Edition of Return of the King before I make up my mind.
Favorite stand-alone movie: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

I luv The Wizard of Oz and all the Harry Potter movies ... although Prisoner of Azkaban was a little of a let down after reading the book.

Probably either Beauty and the Beast or Moulin Rouge. Although running close behind are Saved, Mona Lisa Smile, Bridget Jones's Diary, Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, What's Love Got To Do With It, The Others, and Legally Blonde.

[quote="Disneykid"]My case is a little weird. See, I think the greatest movie ever made is The Passion of the Christ which, in my opinion, shows how films aren't simply entertainent but art forms. quote]
I respect everyone's opinions, but I'm sorry, that statement is laughable. That movie was not concerned with telling an acurate story or enlightening people in the dark about Christianity or even about great filmmaking. It was about Gibsonian grandiosity. The cinematography was over-the-top, lacking nuance. The score was grating. The acting didn't do the important characters justice, and the directing was so full of pretension, you just had to sit and weep and eight dollars gone by. Yeah, it's an art form alright - if you consider passion plays an art form. You do realize that's what this is right? I mean, yeah, he can say it's not an anti-semetic piece. However, here's my question: However "accurate" his version is, why make something that will be sure to evoke feelings of hate?

Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. It's a story of second chances.......and third and fourth, etc. etc. The transformation of Murray's chracter is heartwarming. The stages he goes through to reach it are hilarious.

For me, I'm with DisneyKid when I saw Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban is my favorite movie. Bring on Tuesday! Other than that, obviously, The Star Wars movies (even.... yes...... the prequels) have extremely special places in my heart. And as for Lord of the Rings, not that I have much against it, but how do you spell overrated?

Favorite film of all-time.....hmmmmmm........that is going to be hard. Having been a movie projectionist for over 30 years. I showed "Star Wars" for seven months three times a day.......that could be it......no........I showed "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" three times a day for almost a year.....that could be it...........nooooo...........I have so many favs that I will have to say the one that I watch the most is:
"THAT THING YOU DO".....................this movie rocks in so many ways and has a great story along with great music, all of which was written by Tom Hanks (is there anything he can't do, except sing?).
My favorite Disney movie is "Old Yeller" and my favorite animated Disney film is "Bambi". My favorite Pixar film is "The Incredibles" and in the list of favorites I find my self leaning towards "Spirited Away" more often than not.
I just love movies...........
