fye.com has it in stock, and they're known to stock and sell their initial shipments of delayed/recalled titles.
I just ordered the DVD from the site, just to see if it'd ship, hopefully it'll come in either this or next week.

How odd. I hope this isn't some sort of mistake and they actually do have copies available. I'll have to try it out myself later this evening.
Thanks, Escapay!

I hope so too, otherwise whatever they're shipping me will be quite a surprise, as I got the shipping notice tonight in my e-mail!

No problem!
Since the title was delayed/recalled, I'd advise anyone to make the order via fye sooner rather than later. The last time (that I know of) a Fox title was delayed/recalled (June 2006 with Fox Film Noir's
Boomerang), the copies that FYE had went out *quickly* and within days were fetching $40 upwards on e-bay.

20th Century Fox has quite a few other editions they planned to release that are doing the same thing that this edition of Mrs. Doubtfire's doing. I don't remember all of them. But one of them was 28 Days Later. And there are more.

jrboy, can you confirm the commentaries that are on this set? I've just read through a thread at DVDTalk.com, where one member, who picked his up at FYE's, said that the director commentary isn't there.

I wish I could say yes, but no, there are no commentaries included in this set

. The only thing on disc one is the movie, deleted/extended/alternate scenes and a trailer for the sandlot 3.

Well, that sucks! Thanks for the information. I'm still excited to get this. I wonder if this is why the set has been delayed?
If they do eventually release this set with commentary, I guess I'll do an exchange. I'm still glad that I am finally getting this great film on DVD. It's one of my all time favorites, and I have been waiting for a decent release of it.

Ditto.
At least now I have reason to hold on to my old copy (it's got the Christopher Columbus commentary, dry as it is).
What sucks more is that in the specs I read, there was originally supposed to be a Robin Williams & Marsha Garces Williams commentary as well.

If you search in your local FYE's or Sam Goody's (or any other store under their chain), they may still have a few copies. I saw some still at two of the malls in NJ before I went to WDW.
Anyway, I compiled a runtimes listing for the bonus features. The Deleted Scenes have two names. The first (in all caps) is what the scene is called, while the second (in regular) is what I originally called it. For the Deleted Scenes runtime, the parentheses is what I recorded the time as from the old DVD (where they all played together without a scene index or chapter stops), except for a few scenes that are new to the DVD and not from the old DVD.
