I really like her!! As for Thumbelina, she was Don Bluth's effort to create a new Ariel- considering that he also casted Jodi Benson for the voice. So yes, it's true that she looks like it and you know what? I think she absolutely ROCKS!!!

Quite frankly, I'm not too keen on the designs of the princess or the queen, although the latter does resemble Susan Sarandon.

Anyway, preview > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zPcklzgBy4
Which does have some spoilers-ish.

I like the pics of our new princess, but the video ichaod posted is awesome!!
Did you see how good Idina Menzel looked in that dress? The whole movie looked so awesome and musical like, and... simply great!! I'm very excited!!

Wow, it's like she's a real 90's animated Disney princess! Way better than what I was expecting. I thought she'd look more like er...Amy Adams!

Awww the princess looks so pretty. I am hoping for some animated spin off movies or something because I love her design, she's really breathtaking.

I don't think she looks like a 90's heroine. There is something about her that doesnt look as......well......wholesome? I'm not sure if thats the right word, but she still looks great though!

Behold, the first images of the traditionally animated Princess Giselle:

Her hair will be redder in the finished animation, I'm guessing, to match that of Amy Adams. Still, these images defianetly garner a :o from me.
Know where I can find larger image of those pics? I want to observe them closer but yours are a bit too small.

Pictures from Disney's Enchanted-The Animated Portion!

I think the word is "sexy." I think she looks incredibly sexy. I agree she doesn't look quite like the princesses of the 90s.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Even in animated form, the Prince's sleeves look way too big...

As for the look of the princess, I think her shoulder thingers are really low and wispy, which is a lot different than Aurora's and Belle's. Also, the curl in her face probably contributes to her difference from the other Disney princesses. Will she be joining the Disney Princesses even though she wasn't animated by Disney?

Thanks for posting the pictures and the video (which was very spoilish, but still mysterious), I really can't wait for this movie anymore! I can see it being a successful film! :) And yay, Idina Menzel! I hope Disney goes to make a Wicked movie musical!

If she was real..she would be really hot... *sigh* Disney Princesses and their perfection...

Anyway yeah, I think she fits in nicely in that Princess catagory.

I actually dont even know much of this film...so its like live action/animtated? sounds cool...Ill have to check it out.

If this is a disney film, why is the animation isn't by Disney?

Becuase Mr Eisner sold off all the 2D animation equipment after Home on the Range in the height of CGI mania. So Disney doesn't have the staff at present to do it.

ah I see, then I'm assuming Disney now has to rebuy all the tools again for Frog Princess correct?

OMG i'm really excited about this project! Btw is this going to be a classic?

Thanks Disneyduster and Ichabod for the information, you guys really make a great contribution.

The "wedding dress" is a bit too puffy! And I do hope that they will animate the princess more like that Adams girl.

Oh btw that video gave some very spoler-ish information if they weren’t playing with us. If you want to know what the spoiler was then highlight the following text.
---> Amy Adams is banished to the real world before she can marry James Marsden in cartoon land. She meets Patrick Dempsey who is seeing or married to Idina Mendez. Amy Adams and Dempsey fall in love, and so do Idina and James. Aww so cute!

I wouldn't assume, It will only make an ass out of u and me! ;)

To be honest the future of the Frog Princess isn't decided yet. There may have been a lot of buzz about it, but remember this is hasn't gone into full production yet, so it could still get shoved into CGI, or get cancelled altogether. After all Disney's 2008 and 2009 films American Dog and Rapunzel could still get shafted.

Plus Disney has no 2D animation staff at present. If they're laying off people from CGI films after Meet the Robinsons is complete, because they want to minimize the number of people they are employing, I can't see them wanting to employ more people to reopen the 2D studios. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If they laid off their 2D staff, whatever happened to Glen Keane? Does anyone know?
