Yes, anything to support UltimateDisney!

Thanks for your help anyway, MMB.

I've heard from a contact of a contact (perhaps of another few contacts too) that the Amazon listing is a mistake - some publicity went out to general reailers by accident, along with their other new release information.
The contact some discussions removed insists that Frank and Olli will remain a Disney retailer exclusive.
Still, no harm in ordering.

I thought of this myself, but amazon is not the only one listing it.
Then they have a totaly diffrent release date, and a much higher SRP.
To me that sounds to much diffrent to be the same.

If the release information was included in a pack that went out to all general retailers by accident, then they could all have made it available for pre-order in good faith.
No harm will come in ordering it. So I don't see why anybody shouldn't. But it does seems strange this should be available and the Walt Disney release not available for general resale.
I don't know if there's any truth in what I was told.

Where does it say that this will be an exlusive. I have read it a lot on this forum but not seen any official news on this.

for a while, there was a rumor that this was going to be a 2 disc dvd....is this true? also what are all the features? the disney page lists about 7 and then says "and much more!". i don't like that phrase.....it was used on the lion king platinum edition and it didn't fare too well. if anyone has the disc(s) please let me know all the features/previews that are on it.....i ordered it and i can pick it up today for $23.99 but that's almost a little pricey for a one disc, few features type of movie......please help with info here........
thanks

In my oppinion you should get it. I have not seen it yet, but I have gotten a friend from this forum to help me get it.
Totaly this will cost me $31 (with postage to Norway) so I can not see what problem only $24 is

Forgot to mention (actually, didn't think it was worthwhile) that my copy arrived last week sometime.
I've watched the film through and it is great. You couldn't get two better subjects for a doco than that.
Actually, one of the joys of the DVD was seeing some of the older films in what I can only assume was the 'correct' aspect ratio. They show clips letterboxed, with black bars down the sides as well. I can only assume this is maintaining the 1.33:1 ratio? It looked cool at any rate...I wish they would release the older films in this format. I'm not going to be satiusfied will full-screen now
Anyways, still haven't gone through the extras, although I did notice the two animated 'shorts' weren't the full 'short' they were simply the first 'scenes' that Frank and Ollie worked on. So the people who were worried about 'double-dipping' of bonus features can rest assured they aren't really. Sort of 1.5 dipping....

Was the full version of "Runaway Brain" on it? Some retailer listed that on the specs.

It was supposed to be last Tuesday, but with a title like this, you never know if places are going to get stock in, and most likely if they do, they won't be put out on time for some reason.
Certainly benefits the online retailers though - they undoubtedly got a boost in orders on things like The Rescuers and The Love Bug.
Got it!

Just to let my fellow Europeans know that it really works: My Frank and Ollie arrived today! Ordered it through Amazon and it was shipped on Nov 10. Arrived in Sweden (probably a couple of days ago, darn' customs always takes time), safe and sound. I won't post the specs since I'm sure they're already available elsewhere on the forum, but I'd be happy to answer any questions.
