Why buy the R1 SS if you can have the non-R1 with uncensored animation? But I would like MMILC :/

Censored?

I didn't think the R1 was censored?

I thought they were all uncensored, but with introductory notes by Leonard Maltin...

and the R1 ones are the nices, the tins are the best...

of course, if you're not bothered about the tins, then R2 is probably the one to go for...

I did get an R2 version of MMILC and I regret it. The tin is horrible IMO and Im trying to sell it.

The R1 version has the Jewish stereotype censored. Tins are nice, but I prefer unedited content.

I was looking up prices for I plan to buy Lion King 2 tomorrow. It seems that Best Buy is having a deal on two cool Disney films.

Buy Lion King 2 and Brother Bear for $17.99 each and get $5 off.

Doesnt seem like much but hey I've been wanting both movies for a while.

<a href="http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bf ... ategory</a>

Deal expires on 9/4 and I think its for online ordering only. And since they are doing shipping charges, I am gonna pick up the product.

If you order these films the deal wont be effective until tomorrow when Lion King 2 is in stock.

Snow White DVD on Buy.com?

Hi,
First time posting here, I have a question about the Snow white DVD. I found it on buy.com, but it says it has 1 disc. I thought it was a 2 disc set. But I'm thinking it might be a video, because it doesn't say either way. Here is a link to it.

http://www.buy.com/retail/techspecs/pro ... geFormat=5

Just wondering if this is legit.

Thanks

From the picture and description, that's clearly the VHS. Number of discs should then be zero, not 1!

FOUND: NEW WALT DISNEY TREASURES AT BEST BUY

i went in expecting to buy Spider-Man 2 and that's all, then I went to the disney section as usual, and sitting there were all three treasures and Kim Possible: The Villain Files, 4 days early!!! I almost had a heart attack. When I got home I opened them and there was blue paper (resembles the back of other waves tins) attached to the back by glue, and its quality is that of the collectible art inside. When removed it is completely blank and looks very different.

Paint yourselves a mental picture:

Mickey Mouse Club: the collectible art is blue themed and has a picture of mickey (obviously) in the band uniform, with the mouseketeers in a square box raising their arms, the left side has a black bar down the left side and the MMC logo is in the top left corner

The Complete Pluto: the art is a picture with Pluto trying to steal the dog (sleeping in the barrel) bone. Also it is entitled "Bone Trouble"

Mickey Mouse in Black and White Vol 2:
The last collectible art is of Mickey using a pulley to lift minnie up by the underwear, and it looks like a artist sketch, also black and white.

If you want I can type up the back of the box info on here, I didn't go ahead and do it because I wanted to leave out something for those who can't get it early.

Do you have a digital camera or scanner to show us? :?

I have a digital camera, but am not familiar with the functions, I could try and figure it out and maybe get some pictures on, a step by step how to post them would be good too!

Not sure what camera you have, but its fairly easy. After you take the pics, plug the camera into your USB port. Under your "My Computer" files, you should find the pics in a folder. Find a site online to upload them at - I like http://www.villagephotos.com. Then, you can simply link to them here.

If your camera uses a flash, watch out for reflections, specially if you shoot the tin cans at close range. If flash turns out to be a problem, tilting the camera (or the subject) a little so the flash reflection bounces to the side helps.
Or shoot outside in daylight :P

Also, if you don't have a zoom, there may be a limit to how close you can shoot so you might not be able to fill the frame. Just shoot it at the minimum focus distance posible and then crop any extraneous background on the puter.

If your camera doesn't create/save the pics as .jpgs, you'll have to save them as .jpgs first before posting :P

To post them, after you have uploaded them (I usually use http://www.imageshack.us) all you need to use is the

thing. Or you can type the direct URL an we can go lookee and Jack or other moderators or me can [image] it when we see the url's

All Disney DVD's 20% off at Best Buy

I've haven't seen anything about it on the board, so I thought I'd mention it.

BestBuy.com has a current promotion that give 20% all Disney DVD's. Some of them are pretty good deals, but you have to search around, some of the regular prices are a bit inflated.

I don't know if the sale includes in-store purchase or just their website. I'm really mad because I waited a couple of days to get my list together and missed out on a chance to get Snow White for $27 on the website. They sold out of it a couple days ago, but they do have the current Treasures for only $20.

Anyway, I hope this helps some of you out. Oh yeah, the sales on 1/8/05

Nice! Thanks for notifying us. I'll probably take advantage of the sale to get Emperor's New Groove: CE. I was gearing up to order it from Amazon for $35, but with this deal, its $28.

Aladdin Sequels at Best Buy

I went to Best Buy to pick up the Aladdin sequels and to my astonishment they came in a box. Like the Lion King trilogy. So I naturally assumed this was the packaging everywhere. But it isn't. I went to Wal Mart and Target and they both sell it like the Freaky Friday two pack. Side by side. If you are picking them up, I suggest Best Buy for the box.

Or Circuit City for the box, the free Genie plushie (while supplies last), and the cheapest price. (:
